The Local Villa Danang

The host met us upon arrival. Our flight was delayed and we let him know we would be later than planned, to which he replied he would wait for us. The Host showed us through the property and gave us his whatsapp contact if we needed to ask anything. He met us on check out and was very pleasant to deal with. The pool is great, its small but that's fine. It is unheated, so makes for a refreshing swim. The kids still loved it. The surrounding area is mostly residential and makes for a nice non touristy stay. It was quiet at night and in the mornings. But was a 15 minute walk to the beach. There is a (very) basic mini mart nearby and a few street vendors serving local food. The Grab cars were able to pick up and drop off at the gate even though the alley was narrow. It was roomy inside and the bedrooms were quite roomy. There is an abundance of toilets and showers, almost a comical amount! TV in the lounge worked, and may have had Netflix access. (I think?) There is A/C units or Heat pumps in every room which worked well to cool / vent during the warm nights.

Cleanliness was average. The bathrooms and kitchen had all been cleaned, but old grimy and greasy surfaces were present. The fridge had a nasty bad smell. The kitchen was poorly equipped: no teaspoons and only limited other cutlery and crockery. The beds were HARD. I know this is normal in Vietnam, but these were particularly spartan! Towels were supplied but more would have been good. The lounge area could use another couch, there is only two small, hard couches in this large space.

The facility was nice and good value for money and the location was good walking distance to the beach.
