The Cottage at Ardbrae

The cottage had everything we needed, even some breakfast food! Super easy to communicate with the host and their dog is adorable!

Just make sure you work out where the cottage is as Maps was not indicating the right place for us and we were arriving at night!

Beautiful place, absolutely spotless, we didn't really see the hosts which was fine by us everything was easy to find. The kitchen was fully stocked even with extras that you wouldn't expect like spices. Comfortable bed and sofa, great shower. It was a bit warm but good windows which opened onto woodland. The view was beautiful. It was quite close the the hosts house but we were only having a quiet nights stay so it didn't impact us (or them hopefully with our little dog).

The only issue we had the whole time was that it was quite difficult to find. Some more signs down the lane would have made it perfect.

Had everything we needed except a washing machine. Well laid out and nice extras eg spices, provided for cooking. Very quiet area, felt completely relaxed. Plenty of parking and also other friendly dogs for ours to play with. Very well set out and felt spacious and very comfortable inside.

Difficult to find and no real instructions provided. Unfortunately no hot water on the last day, and not able to get it sorted before we left. All minor and would not prevent us returning.

Great accommodation, very comfortable and clean. Berries, breakfast cereal, milk and coffee left for us and a doggy basket with treats and wipes etc, very unexpected. Our dog had fun making friends with the owners dog. Friendly big dog. Really great little cottage for a few days.

The cottage is very close to the owners home. We took a drive on our first day to explore the area and when we returned the driveway was full of cars as the owner was having a bbq, we didn't have our parking space anymore. And there was people walking past the kitchen window looking in. We felt a bit uncomfortable and had to close the blinds.
