Lake Isabella A frames

Easy to find, ample parking, remodeled kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was clean. Loved the dishes and the refrigerator worked well.

We did not have a great experience here and this is our story. First thing we noticed was how slick the floors were in the kitchen and bedroom area. My husband is tall, he’s 6’5”. He met the beam between the kitchen and living room with his forehead. When he jerked back, he slipped on the slick floor and fell like a log to the ground. The couch is not a couch, it’s a loveseat. The chair under the stairs would be perfect for a Great Dane or small child, but a full grown human could only use this as a headrest while lying underneath the stairs. The pillows upstairs were.. odd. Not your normal foam, filler, or down. To add to their strangeness, they were wrapped in a crinkly plastic cover, and then covered in inexpensive, slippery pillowcases. Then there was the water in the shower… !!! It oscillated from scorching hot to cold, each lasting about as long as it takes to get fully wet. Expect a shower to take at least 4x as long, and ladies, forget washing your hair. Go someplace else. It’s not worth the burns and ice bath. On the positive side, the dishes we washed should be fully sanitized. The sink in the kitchen did not have the same oscillation issue and the HOT water did a great job here.

We arrived to the A Frame, there was no running water and the restroom had been used and unflushed. When manager finally responded, they were unable to get the water to work. They did nothing to assist us in assisting us with locating a place for our family to shower, we had to use our own bottles of water to wash our hands and we had to wait for the morning to use restroom at a public location. Manager never called or emailed us after we had checked out. All was reported to booking.com as renting a home without running water is unacceptable as water is essential.

We were also informed by another guest that they had first checked into that a frame, and due to no running water and used toilets, they rancher a frame and were accommodated, then we were rented the unit after management knew that there was no running water in the unit.

Cute stay close to kernville and Lake Isabella. Loved the shower, AC up stairs as well so great temperature, and the cleanliness. Overall, excellent experience!
