Il gestore il giorno dopo al ckeck-out, mi invia foto di una presunto utilizzo della vasca ad idromassaggio, premetto che avevo scelto la stanza per questo servizio, che è risultato aggiuntivo, cioè bisognava pagare il gestore in contanti in caso di utilizzo, la vasca infatti era vuota, nella prenotazione appare tra i servizi. Abbiamo scelto di non usufruire del servizio, perché eravamo di passaggio e siamo andati a cena, il giorno seguente il titolare mi invia un messaggio chiedendo il denaro per il presunti utilizzo della vasca. Gli chiedo di farmi delle scuse, perché non avevamo utilizzato la vasca, e perché ho l'abitudine di pagare se usufruisco di servizi aggiuntivi. Non ho ricevuto le scuse dal titolare per il presunti mancato pagamento della vasca, credo che sia ingannevole non specificare che alcuni servizi di una stanza non rientrano nel pagamento del pernotto.

We spend our holidays travelling by bicycle, so we take the time to research and book accommodation that has safe and secure storage, while also being convenient for our route plan. We had contacted this hotel beforehand, and they had explained that the bicycle storage would be €15, which we agreed to and made the booking. However, on arrival the check-in said this was not the case, and wanted the €50 for the bicycle storage. We said this was not what we had been told and agreed. They contacted the manager, who too said the charge was now €50. We decided to cancel the stay, but they instead said we could keep the bikes in the room for free, but must vacate the premises by 7am. Which we did, but that meant we had to sit and wait for 2 hours in a train station awaiting a connection. So overall, we are incredibly disappointed with this experience, especially with someone who went back on an agreement, then subsequently punished us for holding them to account. We could not recommend this is a place for a relaxing stay.

The communication and virtual online check in plus the area was a bit dangerous area

Once in the room it was really good and matched the photos and description well. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and everything was spotlessly clean. The shower was good, nice towels. Superb value for money.

Whilst the description on booking.com for the room itself was fine, it was disappointing that no mention about the Vikey online registration and virtual key was mentioned. I've used properties before with door codes so accept letting yourself in maybe necessary. But this was a lot more hassle complicated by the fact that Italian law requires guests to be registered at accommodation properties. Somehow I missed the email that had the passport registration I was until then expecting a meet and greet as nothing on booking.com about any of this. So a suggestion perhaps this is made clearer. The online registration needed three different photos of my passport including one of me holding it up against my face. Having already registered online for two other hotels in Italy over the previous few days, all they needed was name, number, country etc. Definitely no photos. The virtual key was a problem. Maybe I didn't check or tick the correct cookie settings but it failed to work. I called the property owner, and was told only by WhatsApp. Eventually a 2nd link got sent with a code and it worked. It was stressful and in fact the owner did come round and gave me physical keys. So if you are unhappy about opening door locks connected by the internet using your phone screen, this may not be a suitable location for you.
