The MAJE Private Villa

The hosts were good in communication.

It was hazardous, unhygienic and ill equipped. The gas cylinder was not installed properly and was leaking gas. Bread and papaya left on the kitchen counter was eaten by rats. The air conditioning barely worked for the size of the room, we were sweating if we weren't directly in front of the AC. The kitchen was also so small and highly ill equipped, the kitchen cupboard were placed in such a way that they constantly hit you in the head and shoulders. Lastly, there was no hot water for the first two days of our stay and barely any water at all for the last day of our stay. The staff stated that the reason for no water was due to no electricity. This stay was so unpleasant it felt like torture.

All was good!

Only thing is that wifi did not work😬

Beautiful pool. Comfortable bedding with ensuite. Onsite person to help with what we needed. Quiet location virtually zero traffic noise.

No microwave or rice cooker. Fridge not cold enough.

I loved the private space provided by the villa, with an enclosed area created by walls for added isolation. The swimming pool and bedrooms are spacious, and it’s convenient to have staff next door during the day, available to help in person or via WhatsApp. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful, providing great service. They respond quickly to any issues and do their best to assist. It’s also nice that food is available on request.

The soundproofing wasn’t ideal, and the main issue is with the villa’s location, as it’s positioned between two other villas. Your peace largely depends on the neighbors. Unfortunately, we weren’t lucky with ours, as a group of residents, reportedly staying for several months, were very loud. We could hear music and shouting in our bedroom until 3 a.m. The owner, for some reason, was unable to assist with resolving the issue.

A great villa in the heart of UBUD. Amazingly clean, private pool and very calm and quiet location to just de-stress and relax. 2 Bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for each bedroom and a kitchen with amenities. Prices are very reasonable even during the peak period. The manager(point of contact) Iwan was very respectful and was there to receive us early in the morning as our flight was an early morning flight (2:30 am early morning). I would definitely recommend this place for families. It is very close to so many tourist locations as well. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Bali.

The only improvement that I would suggest is finding the place on Google maps. So If you have booked this villa for a holiday search for MALINI VILLA, UBUD on Google Maps ( The Maje private villa is an extension from the Malini villa).

So clean, so beautiful villa, peaceful. Luxurious. Good price. Easy to go everywhere with scooter or taxi. The pool was amazing. Soft towels. Good bed with comfortable pillows and blanket. Very good aircondition. The staff were very friendly. The whole villa was amazing and we loved it so much! I recommend this to everyone! 5 stars absolutely!
