Ever Breeze Ella Hotel

Het is best wel wat verderaf van het centrum van Ella. Er was toch wat onbeholpenheid of n gebrek aan ervaring bij het personeel. Voor n gezin van 4 werd 1rol toiletpapier voorzien voor twee dagen. Bij het ontbijt kregen andere gasten elk n flesje water en n sapje bovenop wat wij kregen. Prijskwaliteit toch eerder duur in vergelijking met andere adressen in Sti Lanka waar we logeerden.

The view was really fabulous but the location was a bit tricky for our driver as the road is not very well signed and almost a dirt track. However, it was still fairly convenient going into the centre of Ella. Breakfast was good except everything was served in reverse order to what Westerners are used to, so we had eggs and toast first instead of fruit juice first, then eggs/toast!. The rooms were clean and comfortable, well equipped and spacious.

We couldn't get our TV working and in the end we solved the problem as it was a poor/connection to the set top box not a pay tv/subscription issue (the default problem solving for everything is go to their mobile devices, they needed to come up to the room and check). Staff were helpful but limited English made communication difficult (also the 3 young men entrusted to Front of House were constantly/instantly on their devices, rather than concentrating on the customers). Also, for anyone with limited mobility their appeared to be no public lift and all the guest rooms are a few floors up from ground level.

The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. It was my sons birthday, and they had prepared a birthday set up in our room with balloons and cake, very kind of them! The room was a good size, clean with a nice balcony with a lovely view of the surroundings. It was close enough to the centre to get a tuk tuk but far enough out to get away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was fresh and the owner asked us what our children would prefer, they were very accommodating. They have little puppy which my children loved and were happy to bring her our for the children to make a fuss of every morning and evening.

Nothing, all was great. Would definitely recommend this stay!

The hospitality of the staff was very welcoming and property was clean. Breakfast was surprisingly very good.

Owner is the best! Workers are amazing and friendly! Food was amazing and the room was very nice. Anything we wanted they got asap. Would highly recommend! I have allergies and they were very good and I had no problems.

Dulan the host took such great care of us while we were there. The breakfasts were amazing. The rooms were perfect. The location was awesome. We even had monkeys running around welcoming us as we checked in. It was a perfect way to finish up our trip around Sri Lanka, and I would recommend anybody staying at Jungle Shades. They bent over backwards to help us enjoy our stay and were so kind to our kids. Couldn't ask for better accommodations.

Everything was absolutely great, and I wouldn't change anything. Of course, it's in the jungle, and there are some mosquitos but nothing you can do about that. They did provide mosquito repellant so no problem.

A little out of town but that worked well for us as the Main street is quite chaotic. Staff are extremely kind and hospitable.

The shower head in our room was broken. Everything else was great.
