Ashley House, Carlisle

Very clean, modern, nicely furnished, well fitted out. Clear and prompt communication from the owner, and leaving milk in the fridge was a lovely touch, it was late and we'd forgotten to get some.

The property was clean and in a quiet location. We only stayed the one night as it was a halfway point for us going home but I would happily book this property again.

The property was very very clean and can’t fault the host for that at all. However expecting people to check out at 10am in the morning is lubricous. Late check out was asked for and denied. Stay in lots of different places all over because of my job, asking someone to check out in the morning when they check in so late to me is just wrong. Other than that stay was fine.

Wasn’t as central as I thought.

I was in the single room and it could have done with a bedside light. Other than that, all was very good.

It was like home from home. Beautifully decorated and everything you needed. Sara has covered everything needed for a short stay.

This is a lovely little house, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. We stayed here for 1 night before Carlisle Half Marathon and were really happy with the accommodation and facilities. Very easy to park and a nice quiet area (though I could hear some road noise through the skylight in the attic room overnight) Beds were comfortable and so was the massive sofa in the living room! Would definitely stay here again. One note - we couldn't find any recycling boxes/bins so just left the stuff on the side rather than throwing in the main bin
