Fuji View and Spa Resort TSUMUGI Kawaguchiko

Absolutely magical accomodation, it was impeccably clean when we arrived and had all the amenities you would need. Check in was also super simple and easy. It was the perfect location for a proposal from my partner out on the deck overlooking Mt Fuji. A place to remember thats for sure!

The view is amazing.

The place is much smaller than the photos suggest. It is crammed with technology but not enough space to cook. To the non Japanese person it is hard to understand all the tech. We were in cabin D and it is not good for anyone with mobility issues or even just older legs. A lot of stairs and slopes and no help available. No lift.

The villa was stunning and well equipped. The view was amazing and it was quiet as it was away from the tourist area. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The provided bicycles was great to get around

Difficult to call for taxi. I wish I knew that it would have enhanced the trip if I knew to reserve a rental ahead of time. I wish the bicycles provided had an e-bike option since it is a little bit of a climb to up the hill and back to the villa

All of the amenities and the beautiful view. The place was fully stocked for anything I could possibly ever need.

I wish there was a phone either in the lobby or in the villa that had a direct line to concierge. Because there is no staff on site I would need to call someone, but I don’t have a local number to call from. The chat feature in their app is nice but it takes a while for a response and they are only available till 6pm. At the very minimum the chat feature should be available 24/7. Just because not everyone is going to have a local number to call.

Easy to check in and check out. Can enjoy hot pot or BBQ. Small packs of soybean source in fridge which is nice.

Even better if there is salt and pepper for BBQ. I hope it was a foot onsen / warm water bath for use to enjoy while staring to Fujisan, unfortunately, it is not.

Very nice place overall, well equipped and great view of Mt Fuji. However at the price charged that’s what you should expect.

I am typing this while we are walking 25min down the hill with a lot of luggage (we are on a 3 week trip). After paying almost 1000$ for one night!!!! While the listing mentions to arrange your own transport (no problem) they don’t say one word that from the 20-30 taxi companies they have not one speaks a word of English. The taxi apps don’t have any cars usually in the area either. You either have a transfer booked far in advance for both ways or you end up stuck at the property with nobody helping you to book a taxi. All we got from the property staff was „you can get a bus 20min down the road“. That’s fine if it’s a cheap hotel or a hostel, but not at 1000$ a night.
