BaobaBed Lodge, Yangon

Overall a great stay! The front desk staff warmly welcomed me upon arrival and were super friendly and helpful thoughout my time in Yangon, they happily answered all my questions and are a highlight of the hostel. Everything is very clean here, beds, sheets, towels, bathrooms, common areas etc, only the locker area underneeth the bed was very dusty. The common area is nice and offers free tea, coffee and water :) And I love that they have a coworking space available for its guests. A/C blows throughout the rooms and common areas. The location is great too, right oppsoite a convinience store, nice cafe (Bar Street Slow Bar) and walkable distance to many other cafes/eateries and general good connection to downtownn Yangon. It also has a restaurant on the top floor with a swimming pool and pool table/games. Limited vegetarian options but the taste is good and they offer shiesha too. The staff here were friendly enough, maybe surprised to see a foreignor. Wishing the hostel and staff all the very best, Id definately come back, kyay zu ba 🙏🇲🇲🏡

Breakfast location is on the rooftop. It was really hot and not very pleasant. Location is ok.

There should be a tea and coffee set inside the room. Your hotel serves tea and coffee only from 7am to 10pm, and we came back after 10pm, so we could not have any. Tea and coffee facilities should be available in the room like in other hotels. Also, the room is not soundproof at all. We could hear everything — noise from the next room, the stairs, and the hallway. It felt like staying on the street because it was so noisy.

Nice place, clean, great location, very good breakfast included.

Overcharging for taxis. I had an early flight and had to arrive to the airport very early, they arranged overpriced taxi, like double price, and it was take it or leave it. I had no other option, but it's not nice. Apart from that, this hostel is great option.
