Cifilì House of Charme

The building is stunning. The rooms are well appointed. The location, while not especially central, is reasonably convenient. Francesco the owner was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful, and resolved a minor problem I had with a key – my fault not his – with aplomb. There is nothing not to like about this place. It really is charming. Francesco gave me excellent recommendations about where to dine, and was super efficient in organising a lift for me to the airport to pick up a hire car.

Some of the immediate neighbourhood is a little scruffy. I like a certain rough and readiness in Italian cities, but there is quite a gulf between the charming elegance of the stunning House of Charme, and the street in which it is located. (It is only a very short walk to hit stunning architecture again.)

It is a great place to stay in Catania. Francesco is an amazing host. He was very helpful and kind. I definitely recommend his place ☺️

The room was clean and spacious. There was free parking available for up to four cars, which was very convenient. Security was good, and we felt safe throughout our stay. Francesco was friendly and hospitable, offering helpful advice about travel and sightseeing in the area. While the property isn't located right in the city center, it's within walking distance. We walked into town for dinner every evening — a pleasant, short walk.

Just a heads-up: Francesco doesn't always seem to be on site, so it's a good idea to inform him of your arrival time in advance. We arrived a bit early, and the gate was closed with no one answering the doorbell. Later, I noticed a message from him on WhatsApp advising guests to let him know about 30 minutes before arrival.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. We received good tips regarding what to visit and where to eat. Car parking was easy and safe. Rooms are tasteful and nicely decorated. We appreciated the helpful communication and the nice breakfast. We would happily come back.

Absolutely stunning and extremely clean with exceptional service. This has got to be one of the most beautiful, modern intricately designed apartments I have ever seen. It’s straight out of a design magazine and is brand new and extremely clean. The breakfast was EXQUISITE and Francesco was amazing - customer service oriented and so thoughtful. You don’t want to miss this place it’s simple … WOW.

The overall care and quality of this B&B was evident from arrival to our departure. The breakfast offered authentic Sicilian pastries and a few little extra touch’s including the decor showed that extra special family care often missed in other places sets it apart from others. The host made himself available at all times offering good advice and suggestions that made our lives easier. Great location with a car and easy access to the centre of Catania and the airport. Would stay again if in town.

Great hotel to stay in Catania. Good location and the hosts are lovely and really helpfull.

Beautiful old house lovingly renovated and very spacious in convenient location. Francesco was very helpful and kind though didn't speak much English. Car parking is very safe as it is within an enclosed area on the property.

No where to store luggage off the floor and no counter space/shelves in bathroom. The hooks in bathroom to hang towels was way too high for the average height of anyone. We stayed for 2 nights and during that time there was no house keeping in the room I.e towels not replaced or bed made up. The owner does not live on the property at night.

Francesco always stayed in contact with us. Allowed us to check in early and met us at the B and B within 5 min notice. He explained everything well to us and the room was beautiful, clean and had a garden terrace.

Bathroom could have used a counter or vanity to put all our products on for convenience
