Oemah Cinta Ubud Villa

Nice property in a beautiful location

Unfortunately they double charged us for our stay (we had already paid via booking.com, but they charged us again on arrival). After 6 weeks they have not refunded the difference.

The villa was nestled amongst the rice fields, truly beautiful and peaceful. The host was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed, including a scooter. He also carried our bags up to the villa which was so kind! The bed was super comfy and big.

There isn’t a lot to like about this property, only some nights there were lots of ants in the bathroom and of course we got bitten by mosquitoes, however there is a net around the bed, and the bugs can’t be helped being in the middle of the rice fields!

The manager was nice and the bedroom was relatively clean. The wifi was fine.

I will preface this review by saying we had to end our stay there a night earlier because of how unhappy we were with it. The location: terrible spot in the middle of rice fields which invited mosquitoes, birds, lizards, bugs, and frogs around or inside the room. The entrance was a long rundown narrow walkway that was muddy, wet and slippery, we almost slipped a few times into the rice fields that were literally next to it. The entrance to the villa was bizarrely situated in the backyard instead of the side fence which would open right to the glass door of the room. Because of the location we had birds and frogs making incredibly loud noises on the roof all night and we couldn't sleep. We also found ants, a lizard, a bee, and giant mosquitoes inside the bedroom. The bedroom: It was fine. The bed was relatively clean and it had a mosquito net which we tucked under the mattress to seal our bed from the bugs. It lacked any microwave or TV. It was very bare and the ceiling was just a tin roof which had a lot of openings for bugs to fly through. The bathroom: It's tiny and we doubted the cleanliness of the water. The shower had a concrete floor which looked unfinished and was nasty to use. Again the roof had a lot of gaps which invited a lot of mosquitoes inside. We did not understand how anyone could positively review this place. I do not recommend it.

1. Path to the villa still under construction. Very less light on the path. It would have been better if there were more lights. 2. Bit less privacy while take a dive into the pool. If you say its private then it should be well covered from all sides to respect privacy.

Great room and amenities. Value for money. Some good eating options nearby.

The breakfast they provided was alright.

The location was so picturesque and desolate. I absolutely loved it. So peaceful and walking distance to yummy restaurants with great views also.

The villa is absolutely beautiful! Made is a lovely host and is so helpful and replied so quickly. There’s a few drinks in the mini bar to purchase which is great for when you first arrive and they can be restocked of needed. The villa is one of my favourite stays in Bali so far. Would definitely stay again.
