The Old Sack Warehouse

It was convenient for a 1 night stop over. Once we had overrided the heating settings, it was cosy.

They were very strict on checkin time, they refused a checkin request after 10pm, however checkin just involved letting ourselves into the house with a key from a lock box, so in fact we could have checked in just as easily nearer to midnight which is what we wanted. We could have avoided a detour just to pick up the keys. We fully understand the concerns around neighbours being annoyed with noise, but we were no quieter or noisier when we did get in around midnight. I was slightly concerned that the boiler and pipework was fully exposed in my son's bedroom. He's old enough to understand and not touch, but might have been different if much younger. The boiler was noisy though for him during the night. The house wasn't as clean as it could have been. Overall I wouldn't have wanted to stay here for more than a couple of nights.

Very clean and well appointed. Great location

Fabulous location. Hosts had great communication. Lovely little hamper left for us on arrival.

The only negative was the bedding in the biggest room didn't fit which left the mattress exposed.

Close to town with a car park on the doorstep, plenty of space and everything worked

Only minor (and I mean minor) thing was no washing up sponge but there is a dishwasher :)

The property was in an excellent location for shops, bars, restaurants and the riverside. It was quaint, very secure, comfortable and a lovely size for us as a couple.

A couple of areas needed a little more attention to detail with regard to cleaning.

Perfect overnight stop after my Uncle's funeral! Warm, clean, comfortable and just what we needed after a tough day! Little welcome gift of crumpets, snacks and drink, milk in the fridge ready for teas and coffees and super comfortable beds and soft bedding for a good nights rest. Will definitely be returning again when possible!

Didn't have a chance to try the shower to see what it was like and the gate on entrance was slightly tricky to open but once we mastered it, it wasn't an issue (had been warned of this before arrival)
