Laurinska 1 Apartments

We have stayed at the Laurinska apartments a number of times and this was our 2nd long stay (22 nights). As usual, it was great. The apartments are very spacious, beautifully furnished and very functional. This was our 1st time staying on the top floor and it was by far the quietest apartment we've had. The Laurinska apartments are in a very central location in Old Town Bratislava and as such there can be noise from the activity on the street. There was very little noise in this unit, which we really appreciated. While there can be noise from the activity, the flip side is that you have an amazing, central location with tons of great cafes and restaurants nearby. We like classical music and attended a number of concerts most that were within a short walk. It's a really wonderful location. There are also a number of very nice, modern shopping malls nearby (Eurovea, Nivy, Aupark) and so shopping is very convenient. As always, Ester the hostess is wonderful. She is always responsive to any questions or needs that we've had and is just a delight to interact with.

I would say the only thing which could be better is something that really couldn't be, and that is that you can't have a car, because it's Old Town with historic buildings and there's no place to park. We had a rental car the whole time and parked at the very nearby Carlton Garage which is literally like a 2 minute walk. We were able to rent a reserved spot for $500 for a month and it was well worth it. There's another garage nearby that may be cheaper, but they had no monthly spots available. On the plus side, the location is very fast to get on the Highway to go around Slovakia or to Austria (which we did a lot) and Hungary.

This is the third time we've stayed at the Laurinska apartments and each time has been wonderful. Each unit is VERY spacious, beautifully designed and well equipped and so we've really felt at home. The location is amazing as it's right in Old Town with tons of restaurants nearby. We love to attend classical music concerts and there are many of those within a short walk. There's a nice Yeme grocery store a short walk away and it's also easy to go to Eurovea, Nivy and AuPark for other shopping. Ester is the property manager and she is FANTASTIC! She is very attentive and takes care of any issues that arise.

There is a downside to the location as it is in Old Town and on a pedestrian street. This means that if you have a car, which we do, you can't just park downstairs like in a modern building. Also, the area can be busy and there can be noise. The apartments we've had have been quiet, but something to know. However, we have stayed at rental apartments in more modern buildings and much prefer Laurinska.
