Riad Kasbah des Roches

Great location within walking distance of the narrowest part of the gorge. Good parking. Owner was so friendly and took time to chat to us in French more than once. Brought us extra blankets and encouraged us to use the air con for heating. The breakfast was very good with 3 real jams instead of fake jams we have had elsewhere. It also had dates olives, eggs and cheese in addition to the usual breads and layered pancake bread. The beds were comfortable. There was ample hot water. The room was interesting where you could see the massive trees to construct the roof. Toilet seat had special covering which made it warm. I really enjoyed the mint tea as it had a unique taste.

Like nearly all the bathrooms we have had in Morocco the floor gets wet with the shower so using the toilet later you get wet feet. As others have said the bathroom is separated by a shower curtain so we amused ourselves commenting on people silhouettes. If I ever come back to Morocco I would bring my own squeegie to dry the area or some flip flops. Im not sure why they dont use shower curtains but sometimes drainage is the issue and it would get wet anyway.

This place had the best location in the valley, you can literally walk to the gorge which did not seem feasible from many places we crossed on the way. We ended up taking a midnight stroll in the moonlight and it was magical. The stream in front of the hotel makes for a beautiful setting. The staff were very helpful. The room was large and spacious.

We did not enjoy our dinner (ordered for extra price) but the breakfast was quite good.

BE CAREFUL, THERE IS NO AIR-CONDITIONING!! FAKE INFORMATION ON THIS SITE. It was over 30 degrees in the rooms

This riad is ran by a friendly family. They welcome you with a cup of tea. They only have five basic rooms. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is very small and toilet placed a bit strange just after the shower. But it's functional and clean. No soap provided. Need to ask when you like to have a hot shower, they switch on the heater.  Amazing is the food quality (although expensive). We were very surprised. Best lam and chicken tajine since our stay in Moroc. Also food presentation (starter) was very nice.  Cosy breakfast and dinner area and terras. If you are by car, parking is available in front of the riad.

The view was amazing and the food as well. Nice owners and good value for money.

Great room with good hot shower. Quiet. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Great position just below gorge. It is after nearly all the other hotels. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Very reasonable price on booking .com.

Tried to overcharge me for dinner at the end. Not good. Came down when challenged. Maybe a mistake.
