Fantastic location

Fridge did not work (spoiled food). No instructions to work the stove.. Terrible lighting in bathroom. Dog feces in yard. No ventilators in bedrooms.

Accomodation was clean and surroundings quite picturesque.

Owner who lives underneath apartment was initially helpful and pleasant and offered ride into town. Strangely kept insisting to leave keys on porch table as place was so safe ( indicating guests were out!!!)When phoned for help as return bus had not arrived did not answer the many phone calls and hung up on our last attempt. Also did not reply to our message through booking .com which explained the situation. No further contact was made on his part. Following day we went out, leaving a couple of lights on and wedging paper in door jam, which could only be dislodged if door was opened. On our return the paper was dislodged and lights turned off. Owner had obviously entered our apartment, through 3 locked doors when we were out!!!!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! We felt very vulnerable and afraid at this point and so booked accomodation for the following night elsewhere, despite having an ongoing reservation at Casa del Borgo. We did not make contact with the owner as we feared what might be the outcome of such a confrontation.

Lovely apartment, a short drive away from Montalcino in a very quiet (could hear a pindrop at night) and beautiful location (stunning view of the vineyards from the window). Well-equipped and a good size with parking spaces just outside. Roberto was friendly and responsive and also produces his own Brunello wine.
