"Sign of silence? More like sign of very loud preaching"

6.0

Friendly staff, wonderful garden

There was no light bulb in the bathroom, the one man church next door was REALLY loud for hours. It made it impossible for me to work or rest. Communication with the manager often not very punctual or clear.

"Lovely hostel"

The staff were so lovely and helpful. The hostel had a really tranquil atmosphere, despite being in a location that was easy to get tro tros from. It was also a good place for meeting people. The room was clean and comfortable.

"Exceptional"

10.0

The staff's kindness is truly remarkable, and their deafness doesn't diminish their welcoming spirit. The host, in particular, was exceptional; she made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Despite the place being somewhat hidden from the road, its secluded charm as a beautiful green oasis made it all the more enchanting. If I ever find myself returning to Kumasi, there's no doubt I'll choose to stay here again.

"A learning center for the deaf financed by a hostel. Best value for money in Kumasi."

10.0

We spent 3 weeks there with children and it was probably the best place we could choose. Yes it's a bit far from the city center but they have a nice garden, a fantastic breakfast, air conditioning and a kitchen. Everbody was very kind and helped us with everything. If you want to get to the city, go to the next street and use BOLT or UBER apps to order a cab. Between 7 to 9 am and between 4 and 7 pm the traffic is quite heavy so within these times be prepared for traffic jams. The hostel also has a nice list of things to do in Kumasi. You can also ask them to cook local dishes for you for a fee. Washing machine does not exist but that's due to the missing canalization. They can wash + iron your laundy manually for a fee. All in all we were very happy to stay there and we made some friends with the deaf who are working in the basement. This is a project worth supporting. Side note: In 3 weeks we experienced only 3 x 1-3 hour power outages. The WIFI sometimes dropped but we had mobile 4G SIM cards from MTN (can be bought at Kumasi City Mall) with cheap data packages and that worked flawlessly with speeds between 5 and 23Mbps.

I enjoyed how the place is so nicely taken care of! People were friendly, room was perfectly clean and with air con, small light for reading, a wardrobe, plugs. Breakfast was just enough, and its nice to see some animal wandering around the grass :) Even if we havent took part in any workshop, the vibe was cool :)

Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast included. Tro tro five minutes away to heart of Kumasi which is a 10 to 15 minutes ride. Grounds are lovely and peaceful. Safe and secure place.

Only drawback was no TV but they do have pretty good WiFi so my laptop sufficed
