ALFA Beach Front Lodge

For us it was nice, cheap, near the beach and near all neccessary shops and restaurants. AC and Wifi perfect.

The location - the view from the balcony was beautiful, but the place was far from the main town, had to get a bike or tuk tuk every time.

- Terrible value for money. - We didn’t have any hot water or water pressure the whole time during our stay, only a trickle of cold water. Even though we brought it up with the staff, they couldn’t get an electrician to fix the electric shower until our last day. - After having the shower fixed there was then a power cut. The generator doesn’t reach the beach front bungalows so we were in pitch black darkness without aircon or a fan. The Staff provided us with a small fan, which ran out after a couple hours. This was especially horrible as we had food poisoning. - The room is not very nice, dust and dirt on the floor meaning you have to clean your feet before getting into bed. We stayed for 3 nights and don’t have any cleaning done the whole time. We had to ask for bins to be changed and for more toilet roll. - The bathroom is not well made and has a bad smell. - We were woken by the staff twice as they were talking to the neighbours at 7:30am after coming to clean a room. they were stood on our balcony having a chat for half an hour. - we had our laundry cleaned and specifically asked if they had a tumble dryer as the weather wasn’t good. They said yes but our clothes still came back damp. after refrying them they still came back damp. impressively bad. - after all of this we asked for a discount and got 500 pesos.

location is really nice. With tuktuk for 100 local pesos you can get to the city center of Coron. we definitely would stay here again. very good price quality value

The location is incredible - right on the beach along Corong Corong. It’s so peaceful and amazing to wake up and walk straight onto the beautiful tropical beach with clear water. the double bed was comfy and good storage for clothes. The bathroom is a good size. THE WiFi is fantastic. The fan works well and the AC was getting better. Antonio was a very friendly and hospitable host.

The shower water pressure is pretty weak but that’s to be excepted in a beach shack next to the beach. it’s strong enough to clean the shampoo out of hair though. The scorpion I found on the balcony on my last day! definitely don’t drink the tap water as after 5 days I saw that it had turned the white sink orange!

I loved it! it almost felt like staying in a lil fisherman house. it is very simple but the location makes the difference. Great and cheap option for El nido. you are on the beach and it is quiet at night but still you can find bars or restaurants a lil bit further. the sunset and the walk at low tide in the evening is exceptional. very uncomplicated check-in (they probably improved their communication because there were a few signs to find the way to reach the office)

the aircon was a bit too noisy, perhaps having a fan in the room would have been as good!

The location is fantastic, and a great spot to watch sunset. close and easy to the main town proper but also has some great places nearby to eat/have a drink at. the bed was comfy and room spacious. the little terrace is also really nice to sit at! good wifi when there is power.

nothing major, just little things to bare in mind and most are our own personal preference and wouldn’t prevent us from booking again! when there isn’t a power cut the aircon isn’t great, we would have preferred a fan. bare in mind that you need to check in at Vali Joe, which we weren’t made aware of when we booked! there isn’t a fridge or anything to make a cup of coffee in the morning which would be nice especially with the terrace and the stunning view.
