Good Guys Beach Resort

We liked everything about it. It's a family operated resort and all the staff are very helpful and friendly,. Location is beachfront, food is great at fair prices and a wide choice of very affordable accommodation. They really are "Good guys". We'll be back

It's on the Beach with easy access. Good Hamburgers. Nice Sunset. Plenty of parking space if you have a vehicle. Close to the town of Botolan.

Dishonesty in the description of the rooms being booked. We booked a "Chalet" with bedroom and living room, on ground floor and with fireplace. The Manager tried to put us into a small grass hut that was just large enough to fit a mattress and was too short to stand up in. The hut was on legs on the dirt ground and the fireplace was a camp fire in the middle of several huts. We argued for two hours until he finally agreed that their description was misleading and to place us into a room that was closer to what we had reserved. Print the full description of what you booked and bring it with you to help with the argument!!

We went after the holiday, not too crowded. We really enjoyed the beach, very calm and ideal for swimming and dipping all day! They offer very affordable accomodations(check fb for updates rates). We opted for a teepee hut with fan per day, we stayed for 3D2N. They have a restaurant with reasonably prized food. They have sari-sari store as well. There are few places to eat as well outside the resort. Place has a homey relaxed vibe. Considering going back! 🥰

I hope there is bike for rent they can offer in the future, it could be fun to be able to roam around na surroundings. Hoping they can provide offers or discounts/promo for longer staying guests. The younger guests during our visit, left all their trash on the beach at night and we even saw it in the morning. It could be very dangerous to leave bottles or cans that could possibly injure other people. Maybe beach signs and rules can be very helpful. Overall, very nice place! Recommendable, specially for backpackers.

The beach was clean but swim at your risk. Value for money. Chalet can accommodate at least 2-3 pax. The staff were very accommodating, polite, and courteous. The comfort rooms and facilities were also clean.

*Pool - was clean except for the swiming insects that were caught at night when the light was on. Suggest to get the dead insects with nets *Restaurant - served a delicious breakfast but a little bit pricey. Also, they opened the resto too late in the morning which is 8am. I hope during weekends they will open at 6am if there are guests. *Neighborhood resorts - you can hear loud sounds/noises left and right up until 2am *Security - the owner did not asked for my ID. They just asked my name and then were good. The gate in the beach front was open so I am worried an intruder will go inside the resort and the owners were asleep *The dogs loiter at night, maybe this is their security. My son cannot run or play around the area because he's afraid of the barking dogs. There were dog's poops, which I wish their maintenance notice those. *No water supply during our stay. Their motor pump was under maintenance. I hope they resolved this issue. We took a shower outside and then changed our clothes in the CR. *Chalet - I wish the bed foam and pillows is thicker and they used comfortable blankets and pillow cases and I hope the beddings smells good. Despite all the things that I noticed, I wish this resort will still improve as I see a great potential and will definitely come back in the future.

Aside from nature, there was one staff that was so helpful.

Accommodation - not worth the effort, time, and money. Lacks basic necessities and most with additional fees. Food - expensive for the kind of service and food choice. Location - long travel from Manila Beach - grey sands and waves are strong. Not for leisure swimming. Vibe - picnic style Photos - because it did not meet our expectations, we thought of going back but due to long drive, we just stayed and accepted such experience.
