IEIEMy mam stayed at the hotel as she was visiting Ireland for the first time to visit me on my birthday. She loved the atmosphere, decor and everyone’s attention as she doesn’t have great English.
IEFriendly greeting on a very late arrival 11.30pm, and amazing pot of tea after a long journey was so much appreciated. Will definitely return.

IEOld world charm. Staff very friendly. Food very good, I recommend the Duck. Had a lovely chat with the owner, Alaco, before I left. Very charming lady. I would return.

Doors closed at 8 in evening no bar and nobody staff wise on the premises. Didn't feel very comfortable with people with fob keys coming in and out security issue.

IENot much. The reception area was nice. It was done up for Christmas.
The whole experience. There are too many to go through, but we wanted to speak to someone in charge, and there was no one to speak to. Excuses were made to avoid speaking to us. It's a hospitality business, but they were anything but hospitable. Our toilet wasn't cleaned properly. One of our towels was stained. We were watching the late late toy show and storm darragh arrived and the electricity went, fair enough, but no one bothered to check on us to see if we were OK or needed anything, like a candle or a torch !!! We had no hot water to wash ourselves even the next morning. We had no hot breakfast (which was included) and were told we couldn't even have a cup of tea. Well, to say I was mad, no heating, no hot water, no decent breakfast, then no one to speak to just a young girl that worked there. They had taken payment the day we arrived, and on checking out, I asked if we could be reimbursed for not getting breakfast and were told no. I asked to speak to someone in charge, but there wasn't anyone. I left my number for someone to contact me, but no one did. When I got home, I rang the hotel to speak to someone and was told they were too busy and to email them. What a way to run a business. It was disgraceful.
