la chambre, spacieuse, avec 1 balcon avec vue sur le lagon ! l'accueil 5 étoiles de Sabrina et de ses collègues. L'aménagement intérieur du batiment, et la salle de petit déjeuner où on se sent bien. le petit déjeuner, copieux, varié, avec des produits locaux et du "fait maison". Les discussions avec Sabrina qui nous ont permis de mieux comprendre la vie à Maurice. La proximité de la forêt et de sa faune et de sa flore. L'observation des oiseaux et des renards volants. Le village de la Gaulette, ses restaurants (le chaser, l'eldorado, l'ocean vibes ou le snack one eye surf). L'emplacement de la Gaulette, au top pour visiter l'ouest et ses plages (le morne, tamarin, flic en flac) ainsi que les randos en montagne jusqte derrière (Chamarel, gorges de la rivière noire). On se gare dans la rue, sans problème de place.

ce n'est pas lié à l'hebergement mais les chiens de la gaulette "chantent fort" la nuit.....comme partout à Maurice d'ailleurs. On finit par s'y habituer....

A good option mainly for those traveling by car. The property is quite far from the main road, and there are stray dogs in the area. The access road is steep, but if you drive up the hill you’ll always find parking. Still, within a short drive you have a large GSR supermarket and the island’s only specialty coffee shop, Kind Coffee. Check‑in was smooth, and the lady who welcomed us presented the room very nicely. Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing — the weakest we had anywhere on the island. It consisted of an omelette (upon request), a few fruits, fresh bread, margarine (why so unhealthy) and three almost‑empty jam jars that stayed the same for three days. They promised pancakes for two days in a row and only made them on the third day, and we received just two. The staff serving breakfast made us feel like we were in their way. I wouldn’t recommend trying the breakfast. Had no problems with the shower temperature, which is a big plus on this island. Overall, I recommend this place.

Es war sauber, gutes Frühstück. Gute Lage für div. Ausflüge in der Umgebung.

Zimmerservice hätte besser sein können. Pool nicht wirklich sauber.

Das Zimmer und Bad sind groß und gut ausgestattet. Schöner Balkon. Das Frühstück war super gut und reichlich. Sehr freundliche Besitzerin und Personal.asst,

Unterkunft war perfekt. Einzig, man brauch bei der Lage der Unterkunft ein Auto, um an die schönen Stände zu kommen.

The location was perfect for my first visit to Mauritius, away from the large towns and resort hotels. My rooms had all I require a large bedroom with sitting area. Generous size bathroom and shower. Air-con and fan with plenty of light and UK sockets, a spacious balcony not on the sea front, but you can see the ocean and horizon with La Morne Brabant mountain always prominent. Very generous breakfast which changed daily to give variety. Very friendly hosts and staff who helped with everyone and everything you required. Very good GSR supermarket up the road with everything you need like home. Bus stops very close and frequent going North and South.

Nothing to do with the guest house, but a few stray dogs around and even more cats next nearby, some people were wary of them. Also beware the buses finish totally at 6.30pm, if you budget for a hire car, parking is possible outside, I assume first come first served. Below I have described the natural beach 10 minutes away by bus, as the immediate beach across the road is a black pebbled beach with mangroves and a small harbour and natural, looking totally different at high tide as image.

Amazing and very friendly hosts - we could check-in earlier and were provided with many insights and ideas for activities and services nearby. Spacious room with a huge bed and a nice bathroom. Parking available directly in the front of the guest house. Great location.

Wifi was not always stable, but mostly fine.
