Booked my Chester home at very short notice after being let down by another property, and it was fantastic. My family really enjoyed the large modern home that had everything we needed, a very comfy sofa and beds. Thank you for a wonderful stay

What is in the kitchen as in washing up liquid. Cooking oil etc so we know if to bring it or not

I loved the house, it was spacious and very central located.

I missed a rack to dry my laundry. The heating in the main bathroom was broken. It was so hot in there. And I missed a hoover.

The property was spacious.

We had an awful experience. The house hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests when we arrived. So we had to leave and wait to come back after the cleaner had come back to clean. The instructions to get to the property weren't clear. The key safe code didn't work. Gas hob wouldn't work. There is not enough cutlery for the number of guests. Generally, very dirty, it could also benefit from a fresh lick of paint! The third bedroom was very small double. The rainfall shower in en-suite was more like a gentle mist! I did make contact with the owner, and after many hours of going back and forth, he FINALLY agreed to refund 1 nights stay. I wasn't happy with this, but I just needed to get some rest. I have epilepsy/ibs so both illnesses we're triggered from all the distress caused. My sister is also heavily pregnant and really struggled to settle in the accommodation after all the stress. It completely ruined our weekend. My parents even found other accommodation for the 1st night. The owner also asked me to "be kind" with my review. I'm not being horrible or kind, I'm just giving an honest explanation of our experience. I also contacted booking.com for support, but they were as much use as a chocolate teapot!

Great location for exploring Colchester or back onto the motorway to head out to other places. Host was great always responsive to any messages and house was clean and spacious

Internet wasn't really strong

Nice spacious open plan house in a good location. The property has two parking spaces. Lovely large comfy sofa and the beds were comfortable. The house was very clean on arrival and nice and warm.

It is advertised that tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided. There were only teabags. It also states that toiletries are provided in the bathroom but there were none. Not a big deal but just meant a visit to the supermarket.
