The Kenmuir Arms Hotel

2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. It’s a new hotel and it’s absolutely spotless. Good caring staff, lovely little bar area, cracking food and lovely local customers.

It’s of the beaten track but thats a very minor point.

The hotel is in an ideal location for a nice quiet getaway. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Excellent chef (who sent us into a food coma ) encourage us to expand our palateand. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfy with an array of tea and coffees.

Absolutely stunning location in the small village of New Luce. Very warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. I was staying with my female friend so we asked for the large double bed to be made into 2 singles and this was done in about 20 minutes while we sat outside in the garden overlooking the river. The room itself was beautiful with chairs placed by the window so you could watch the world go by and there was also a sofa which was nice to curl up on with a book. We ate there on both nights and could not fault the food whatsoever. Chris the chef went out of his way to prepare vegetarian dishes for my friend. Quality and presentation was superb. On talking to Chris we discovered he has worked in some of the top eating establishments in the Lake District (where I live) and this definitely showed in the high standard of food served. Breakfast was also beautifully presented and there was plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and a credit to the place. Will definitely be back

Everything was wonderful from the welcome we received to the comfortable and well-equipped room but, best of all, the food. Best dinner we have had in a very long time. Remember to leave room for breakfast too! Can’t wait to return.
