+Comunication via whatsapp was good and easy getting here +could even check in early due to our early flight+There was also possibility to leave our luggage at the apartment from 10 am,which was really nice +there is complimentary coffee and tea +owner was nice and helpful +Room was clean and spacious +Air con /heating +balcony +The location of the apartment was really close to the city centre +safe area +next door is shop with essentials

-there is quite nosie from outside , so if you are sensitive, this room is not for you-however ,we have no problem from the noise from nearby bar/restaurant , we actually liked we can be part of italian night life :) -wifi was sometimes weak, but just few times

I am attaching the correspondence between Teatro del Sole Apartment and myself as proof that this establishment is not of the standard that I have become accustomed to when using Booking.com. • When advising them of my arrival time, I received a message stating that I should book directly with them to ensure that I get a better rate. • When arriving and following all the video instructions, the door was still locked. It took an hour to get this sorted and we could enter our room. • The window was left open and the room was ice cold and full of flies. I wrote to ask how to heat the room only to discover that the air conditioner had an error message. We spent the night in this ice cold room, using our own beach towels and a thin throw blanket from the room on our bed as well as dressing in a thick hoodie, socks and a beanie. We didn’t have a very relaxing night. • The owner contacted me the next morning to say that the air conditioner would be fixed that day, but he never asked when it would be convenient for us to allow someone into the room, just wrote again to let us know it was fixed. • In the meantime, I had contacted Booking.com who was also trying to get in contact with the owner, to no avail. Booking.com advised me to take the key with me until the situation was sorted out. • We then found other accommodation, took our stuff there and then returned to Teatro del Sole to return the key. The owner had in between contacted me and threatened to get the police involved because I had taken the key. Why, when I was just doing what was instructed and I returned the key. We never felt comfortable or secure at this location. There was no personal contact. Everything was done over WhatsApp and then he wanted us to send him our personal documents and information also over WhatsApp, which I also didn’t find appropriate. I am truly disappointed and even though Booking.

The rooms have a lot of character. The balcony has a commanding view of the street below. The host was very helpful and accommodating. The location is great.

The room is very well located between the old and the new town. Our room, 2, was in a large apartment divided into rooms with facilities. Each room seems to be well insulated, so we did not hear other guests much.

Our room was facing the back of the building, the street there gets very loud at night, even with windows closed. Pillows are not comfortable.

The location is always important: accessible to public transportation. The access to the property. Storage and hanging for the wardrobe was sufficient: we didn’t have to work out of the suitcases. Regular housekeeping.

One minor issue were the pillows: toooo thin.

Location, room was beautiful, again location location location.

No one to deal with. All contact was done through text.

It was a nice stay in Palermo, really good price and very kind and helpful host. The location is really good and the building is old and nice. It was clean and quiet stay!

We've been there at the end of July and the air condition is right away over the bed. So if you plan to come in summer, you have to deal with air condition over your head. But for us it was okay.
