Orino Livadi Chalet II

Die Ruhe auf der Hochebene, das idyllische Geläut der Schaf-und Ziegenglocken und die Stille auf unserem Areal, da wir die einzigen Gäste waren. Wir können diese Unterkunft denjenigen empfehlen, die Entspannung und Ruhe, Natur und Idylle bevorzugen.

Leider gab es zur Südwestseite wenige Fenster, denn in den Übergangszeiten Frühling und Herbst genießt man jeden Sonnenstrahl, der in das Blockhaus fällt. Dennoch gab es genügend Möglichkeiten, sich um die Hütte herum ein Sonnenplätzchen zu suchen. Ein paar Sonnenliegen wären für einen Urlaub im Sommer noch nett !

The picture perfect wooden mountain cabin. Very clean and cozy. Fireplace was the centerpiece ! Excellent communication by the owners.

The Chalet is located in an ideal location for accessing the Ski Resort, avoiding the busy and crowded town of Arachova. There are restaurants near by, ski rental shops etc. The chalet itself is very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything that is necessary for a comfortable stay. Toileteries, coffee, tea and fruit are complimentary. The wodden construction is very unique and cosy. There is a wood-burning stove for heating, although electric radiators are provided throughout which keep the place heated despite sub-zero external temperature. There is ample parking space outside. It is ideal for a family, or a group, of four. Although provided with beds for 6 persons, we feel it would be really tight...

Due to the construction of the chalet, the upper floor tends to get really warm especially if you light the stove to keep the ground floor nice and cosy. Also, finding the place at night is a challenge, as there is no sign not even at the entrance. It also gets a bit noisy if you have inconsiderate neighbors blaring loud music in the middle of the night (due to wooden and glass construction, sound insulation is minimal). The top floor (attic style) has quite a limited headroom in places - easy to bump your head if you are not careful.
