DON DET Souksan Sunset Guesthouse and The Xisland Riverview Studio

Very nice place, great scenic location conveniently located near the main port, delicious food.

The room is screened but still, lots and lots of insects, mostly the small flittering kind, made it into my room during the evening despite doors, windows etc being closed. I guess it's hard to avoid but it was kinda surprising.

We had a lovely stay at the Souksan sunset guesthouse. We had a great view facing the sunset and it was so unbelievably beautiful. The room had great air conditioning which was so important as Don Det is so hot. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse is literally at the pier so we didn’t have to walk far from the boat. You can rent bikes to cycle for a very cheap price from the guesthouse.

There are some gaps in the doors so a lot of mosquitos/ geckos got into our room, it would have been great if we had a mosquito net. The guesthouse is right on the pier like I mentioned which sometimes makes it quite noisy.

We loved staying at Sunset Guesthouse for our time on Don Det. It provided a fantastic place to relax and explore the surrounding islands. The room had a fantastic balcony that allowed us to take in the sunset each night. The bed was large and comfortable. We also loved being able to rent bikes and bike all around Don Det and Don Khon. The location is super convenient, right next to the port - which made arriving and departing super easy. There are also plenty of delicious restaurants nearby.
