Very nice location. Neat and clean. Comfortable beds

The bedroom with the ensuite bathroom has no window curtain. Please install a blind, or a curtain. It is a challenge to try to sleep with the street light shining directly into the room at night. The ensuite bathroom of the same bedroom was a bit of a mess, with the shower drain being blocked. We unblocked the shower drain ourselves , but the normal overflow of the water from the shower into the corner at the toilet's side, makes it quite dangerous to walk on the floor when wet. We used a rolled-up towel as barrier to prevent the water from flowing from the shower floor's side onto to the toilet floor's side. The other bathroom was fine. The portable braai was broken.

The location! Truely a few metres from the beach. Beautifully decorated. Facilities were good - it is clear that the family spends time here, because they basically have everything needed for a family holiday (i.e outside shower, dishwasher, games, big table, etc) I would suggest bringing an extra towel or small carpet to wipe your feet/shoes - although the shower gets rid of the sand, your shoes pick up sand again when walking to the front door. They have a brush at the front door to wipe your feet (wonderful idea!). Thank you for entrusting us with your beautiful place.

The upstairs bedroom is an open loft - no door for privacy. Parking might be a problem if you have more than 1 car.

Very comfy Water nice and hot Decent crockery and cutlery (wine glasses a bit thick - but I understand that choice)

With a winter stay it would have been nice to have some wood available to make a fire - even if it was on a use and replace basis. The dining room table could be checked for cleanliness between slats

Beautiful location. Clean. Welcoming space. Thoughtful touches to make it a really comfortable home away from home.

On a positive note, the location of the house is excellent—tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac and just a short walk from the beach, which made for a peaceful and convenient setting. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the house is well-equipped with all the essential appliances and accessories needed for a comfortable and restful stay. We especially appreciated the large, comfy couch, which is a rare find in many holiday rentals. The beds were also comfortable, which made for a good night's rest. The host was also friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival at the agreed check-in time, the house unfortunately wasn’t quite ready for us. The host was still in the process of defrosting the fridge, and shortly after turning on the geyser, a water leak was discovered. There was also a foul smell coming from the fridge or the area around it, which was noticeable from the start and unfortunately remained throughout our entire stay, despite the fridge having been defrosted. That said, we appreciated the host’s quick response—particularly managing to get a plumber out on a Saturday afternoon. Fortunately, a temporary solution was put in place that allowed us to use the geyser during our stay. The delay in getting settled, due to the fridge and geyser issues, meant we had to miss a short road trip we had planned for that afternoon, which was disappointing. We also had some concerns about the cleanliness of the towels, as one appeared to have makeup stains on it. While we understand that unexpected issues can arise, we felt many of these could have been avoided with a bit more preparation and attention to detail before our arrival.
