Ocean Mist Tourist Inn

Having AC was a must for April. I was able to sleep with it on with ear plugs. I liked the location down the quieter end of town. Liked the painting on the room wall. Very simple room but fine for a solo traveller. Was glad to have hot water as an option. Had no water at one point but they fixed it immediately. Host was attentive and nice, but not overly friendly, which was fine. She gave some suggestions for tours and seemed willing to help if I had any questions. It felt secure and quiet and I liked the garden and shrubs. Its a good option.

First night I didn't realise that I could turn off the outside light and it was bright outside my room. I turned it off after that when I went to bed and that made it easier to sleep as the curtains are very basic.

Great place to stay! Clean, beautiful garden and lovely staff. The manager is very helpful when it comes to organising tours or if you’re interested in some adventures around Port Barton. She helps where she can and is always up for a good chat. Thank you for having us and hope to see you one day again!

Aircon is a bit loud

Location was very close to the beach. Very good hot shower pressure

Breakfast option more expensive than listed on booking.com also no bath in family room as listed..

The place has beautiful garden, quiet and close to the beach (short walking) and restaurants and shops/ market. Comfortable and clean room.

The restaurant is not available for breakfast My room was small but good enough for solo traveler.
