Cenere e Lapilli House

A beautiful spacious apartment in the heart of Pompei, the ruins only a 10 minute walk away. The host was very nice and helpful! Very clean and safe.

Loud noises from above constantly, a washing machine would have been nice. Shame the TV wasn’t working and could do with thicker blankets.

Elena is a fantastic host, Very informative and any queries or questions were replied to immediately. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. All round fantastic.

Elena nos atendió de maravilla. Muy bien situado para visitar Pompeia y coger el tren para ir a Nápoles o Sorrento. El apartamento es increíble. Super nuevo, muy limpio , cama muy cómoda y con parking. Estupendo

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very convenient for the station. We had booked a guided tour to Pompeii from the Porta Marina which was about 25 min walk. The amphitheatre entrance to Pompeii is much nearer to the apartment and so we were able to explore more of Pompeii and exit through these gates rather than walk the long way home. Elena was very quick to reply to any of our queries and met us at the gate to show us around. We love wine and had an excellent meal at Giulias Wine Restaurant on Via Sacra. The food was top notch, the wine list was well priced and interesting and the service was friendly and efficient.

The kitchen seemed to have pans etc but there was oil or salt and pepper etc.

Beautiful spacious, well maintained, immaculate cleanliness. Air conditioning worked wonders and beautiful views. Very lucky to have found this gem in a the gorgeous location of Pompeii.

We had a lovely stay at Cenere e Lapilli House. Elena our host was fantastic, even though she was on holiday herself she was attentive and helpful. Its conveniently located for shops, bars and restaurants. It's close to the Pompeii ruins (although the entrance we needed was a 30 minute walk away, hence the taxi mentioned below). Elena arranged for her mother in law to let us in (a delightful lady who also did some washing for us). When we needed a taxi, it was her father that came to our rescue and she recommended a great restaurant (Alleria) that was Coeliac friendly which was perfect for my son. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartment itself is clean and well equipped with the basics and some complimentary snacks were left out for us. Parking is free (although we did have a little trouble finding the right entrance and ended up having to do a long circuit to get back to the apartment). You can't have the aircon on in all 3 rooms (bedrooms and kitchen) at the same time as it causes issues with the electrics, but we didn't find that an issue. Would definitely recommend.

A few more kitchen utensils e.g sharp knife and chopping boards. We stayed there half way into our holiday and would have liked a washing machine as we needed to wash clothes (but Elena's mother in law was able to help instead). We were only there 2 nights so didn't need to unpack, had we needed to a chest of drawers would have been useful. Be aware the apartment is up 3 flights of stairs and there is no lift.
