Casa Daphne di Ortigia

A very spacious and comfortable apartment in an excellent location in Ortigia. Only a few minutes walk from all the main sights, shops and restaurants, and the apartment has its own lovely terrace with a lovely view of the bay. Mario & Jacopo were extremely helpful, with lots of recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. A fantastic place to stay in Ortigia- highly recommended! Grazie mille a Mario & Jacopo

Our hosts were very kind and welcoming. Jacopo came to meet us when our taxi dropped us about 10 minutes walk away from Casa Daphne and escorted us to the apartment - carrying my suitcase - to meet our other host, Mario. They provided us with generous free supplies of:- bottled water, coffee, tea, fruit juice, food and wine too. Mario had even made a cake and chocolates to welcome us. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable, and the lovely roof terrace had beautiful views. Everything we could possibly need was supplied - microwave, kettle, toaster, extra bedding, air conditioning, heating if the evenings were chilly as well as racks to hang out washing. Ortigia is a beautiful place and there is a supermarket around the corner from the apartment. Jacopo and Mario also gave us lots of useful local information on the best places to eat, visit etc. We happened to meet Mario and Jacopo one morning outside the apartment and to my surprise and delight they remembered it was my birthday and they serenaded me with 'Happy Birthday dear Lizzie'!

Very good location, in the main center. More than friendly hosts, they give us a souvenir. There was full equipment in the kitchen, which is very useful. Nice terrace, but they don't say that this is on a different floor, not the same one as the apartment. The terrace is not private but to share with others.

I did not notice that the terrace was not a part of the apartment, but to share with others on a different floor. One thing was terrible for me: very, very old sheets and towels. They didn't smell good.

Hosts were delightful. Great location and wonderful roof terrace.

WHAT A GEM! We’re so pleased we found this apartment to rent. It’s ideally located down a quiet, pretty alleyway but only a stone’s throw from the harbour in one direction and a main bustling tourist street in the other where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Not only is the apartment light, spacious and comfortable, but our hosts Jacopo and Mario, stocked the larder and fridge with lots of welcoming goodies – wine, prosecco, water, biscuits and a delicious tarte. The rooftop terrace has exceptional views over the rooftops and harbour and is an ideal place to spend the evening with a glass of wine watching the sun set. Thank you Jacopo and Mario for making our stay so memorable and for all your local advice on where to visit and park.

The property is situated in the heart of the city, perfectly located. The rooms are spacious, bright, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the rooftop terrace, which is perfect for late summer evenings. The hosts were extraordinary; Jacopo was very helpful, and we could rely on him for anything. We also had snacks prepared in the kitchen and everything we needed. I believe this is one of the best accommodations in Ortigia

Location ideal,close to sights, restaurants and transportation Owners fabulous...provided all that you would need ,advice and many extras. They met us there ,were always available and saw us on our departure . provided us with everything to make us feel at home...welcome tarte,beer,wine,fruit,coffee, aperitifs bottled water and even homemade jam and soap on our departure.They anticipated everything that you would need during your stay and it was in the apt....they really were fabulous! Rooftop lounge area with view to the sea... fabulous in the evening The apt was large,clean and new with beautiful new appliances,washer,beds super comfortable with nice linens. Large bathrooms with beautiful shower,soaps and toiletries and towels In summary would certainly stay again!
