Sharming cabin in Sund

The house is super cosy and we really felt like home. We liked that it was a very well preserved fisherman’s cabin but it had all the comforts: WiFi, heating, dishwasher and washing machine. Sund is a picturesque village and is situated in a good spot to visit all the Lofoten Islands, but is not crowded at all like other more famous villages. The cabin was clean. Cleaning supplies were provided and there was leftover food in the cabinets, such as coffee and pasta.

Tolle Lage. Die wunderschöne Kvalvika Bucht und Ramberg Strand sind von Sund aus schnell zu erreichen. Trotz des Alters, der Unordnung und der mangelnden Sauberkeit im Haus (bis auf das Bad) war es eine gemütliche Zeit in dieser kleinen Hütte.

Ausstattung (bis auf Bad) waren sehr in die Jahr gekommen und ungepflegt. Haus war vollgestopft mit Hausrat.

Charming placement and stay

Es wurde über Monate hinweg kein Schnee geschoben, sodass wir kaum zu dem Haus kommen konnten. Das Haus war dreckig und sehr schlecht ausgestattet. Es wurde als kinderfreundlich gekennzeichnet, leider gibt es aber keine normalen Treppen, sondern nur Leitern. Das war für meine Kinder eine echte Gefahr. Ausserdem war es Anfang März sehr kalt und das Haus mit den wenigen Elektroheizkörpern nicht warm zu kriegen. Die Mattratzen waren verdreckt, in den "Schränken" lag Müll (alte Decken und anderes Zeug). Wir waren aufgrund des hohen Preises sehr enttäuscht und da die Vermieter nicht bereit waren uns den Preis zu erstatten, damit wir nach einer anderen Unterkunft suchen können, war der gesamte Urlaub nicht schön.

Beautiful place close to Reine and Kvalvika Beach. Hidden gem of that Island. Vey quiet and nice dark place to watch Aurora Borealis even from the house. Nice old style Norwegian house. You can feel like real Norwegians. Quite and nobody above you beautiful view from the House.

We spent 4 beautiful nights. All perfect except for lack of cleanliness.

Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness is a nuisance, it would have been a perfect stay, beautiful house and great location. Despite that I would go back.

The house it located near Reine in a very calm and charming village.

We spent four nights in this place, and what we can undoubtedly say is that the house has potential but is definitely not fully utilized. The house was not fully cleaned (the fridge and stove were dirty), there was a lack of soap in the bathroom (the plastic container was empty), and it was impossible to cook food on the frying pans because they were worn out and the Teflon was peeling off. The windows were dirty, just like the backyard (which was full of poop; it was almost impossible to get to the car without stepping into one of them). There was also a lack of a kettle, so we had to boil water in a pot. The couch in the living room had already seen its best years. There were a lot of really big flies on the front porch. It seems like they live under the wooden facade of the house. Every time we left the house, they came out from under the facade and attacked us. Because of them, it was also impossible to spend time on the porch. Overall, fortunately, we did not need to spend a lot of time in this house because we were hiking a lot and spending most of our time outside. However, if someone is looking for a cozy base with a beautiful porch to spend time on, making barbecues, and feeling comfortable, this place wouldn't be the best option. I also think that this place is not worth its price at all.

Really cute authentic cabin, with a lot of charm. Well situated in the fish village Sund. Nice view and good spaces. Kitchen well furnished and feeling to be home :)

But some missing information in the description such as : You can see a picture of a fireplace but wood is not included, you can see a charming picture of a room with a window - view to the see but it was freezing there. Even the heater could not warm up the room. Could not enjoy it so deceptive. Also some furniture were missing : soap in bathroom, sponge in the kitchen. Beds were not made. For the price it lacks of service. I would have liked to give a better grade but the owner need to improve the service :)
