Sonne Hotel Quang Binh

My boyfriend ans I had a wonderful stay at the Sonne Hotel! Room was clean and comfortable. I booked a tour (Phong Nha cave) via messages on Booking directly with the hotel and it was really easy! The staff are really friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend

Very kind staff and clean hotel. We could even park our scooters inside which was very nice. Would recommend!

The mattresses were a bit old and not that stiff anymore but totally fine for a night.

The hotel is on the main street close to Dong Hoi train station but a little off the town centre. Convenient for a short stay offering decent amenities. Plus points for good hot water supply and pressure in the shower, which is not a given in Viet Nam. Friendly and helpful guy at the reception too.

The rooms facing the main street are fine while the one behind seem to be quite darker with only very narrow windows towards the ceiling.

Great hotel room! We had a kettle, fridge, fan, AC. Provided with bottled water when we were leaving. Bed was super comfy

Not many restaurants nearby but close to the train station!

The hotel was perfect for our brief one-night stay. We arrived in the evening and were leaving for a train early the next morning so we were choosing solely by price and distance from the train station. This hotel had a good location (not too far from the train station and nearby to some streetfood options) and was very cheap by European standards, so we just went for it (while not really having any expectations). But it was clean, had AC, good furniture, minibar and the personnel were helpful and kind, so it pleasantly surprised us and exceeded our expectations. :-)

Rooms are small and air conditioning could be a bit more efficient but overall great value for money.

We stayed in Dong Hoi just to be picked up to see paradise caves so didn’t spend much time there. The hotel was very comfortable and the reception was open 24/7 which is great for people like us who travel in with a night train/bus. No matter when you turn up or check out someone will be there! The receptionist was really nice, caring all the way through even until we ordered our grab he came out to make sure it was the right ride! No bells and whistles about the room or location, it does what it needs to do for an overnight stay.

The beds are amazing - coming from some days/ week of only hard beds we feel like on a cloud. The room is very spacious, as well the bathroom. The shower is great, all is clean. The location is very close to the train station (15 minutes walk) which was perfect for us. Winmart, a Café and some other food stalls are close by.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Close to the railway station. Owner very friendly and speaks a little bit of German.
