The Sandbeck, Lealholm

This was a great stay. The room is super big and comfortable and has everything one needs. The window bay is awesome to chill and have coffee in the morning which is provided within the room, great views and great location. A few steps away from everything and great to hit the coast for a morning run.

Easy parking on road outside the building. Willingness of hosts to help when needed. See view from the room. The size of the room. Quiet location close to town. The self-help breakfast idea. The overall concept.

The lack of a toaster for the breakfast offering.

The location was great! Loved having a sea view. Room was clean. Breakfast facilities were great. Bed was comfortable. Check in was easy.

The cabinet between the toilet and shower room doesn't work, only just enough room to open doors. Chair in window was broken, so could only use one. Shower head holder was loose and didn't stay in place, also wasn't very powerful. Only just enough room in shower room to get in and out of shower. Needs to be bigger. Painting was shocking, you need to get decorators back, very messy. Overall it was ok, but won't stay here again.

Breakfast

Location and views are beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable with little extras if you have forgotten something. Great selection for breakfast. The rooms are stylish and calming. The manager was always around to help you out and give friendly advice.

The location was perfect and the views amazing. It was a lovely comfortable room with plenty of space and storage. The help yourself breakfast was a good idea and the quality of the coffee and juice was good. I think though, I would prefer to opt out of breakfast and pay for room only if that could be an option.

I would have liked toast for breakfast, not really a cereal fan!

Room was very clean, comfy and well set up. Location was nice with great views.

Breakfast setup is very, very questionable. Paid good money for breakfast included to find food on a shelf in a communal area. Not only did I expect more food for the money, but to find out on arrival that all the breakfast cereal, milk and juice are all left in a communal area were anyone can tamper with it didn't fill us with confidence, so I had 1 bowl of cereal and my wife had nothing. We had to buy breakfast from a cafe.

Definitely was not a continental breakfast kids cereal breakfast in tubs had to go and pay for some breakfast for me & my husband outside was shocking for £130 quid for 1 night
