The location is beautiful, it’s quiet and peaceful. Lots of space and everything you need for your stay. The house was spotless.

A little dated but it wasn’t an issue.

The cottage itself was in a lovely, rural setting. It was lovely and peaceful. The house was big so with 7 of us staying 4 adults and 3 kids you didn’t feel cramped. Each room was of a good size and it was great to have a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.

The road leading up to the cottage was full of pot holes - that does need looking at asap. The exterior windows needed a clean.

Absolutely gorgeous house, out of the way a perfect place for us. It's a lovely place, Roderick was so helpful and very friendly. If you don't mind driving then this is just the place to go. Quiet peaceful surroundings. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy, takeaways available just google for availability

"For a taste of Ireland's countryside, comfort, and quiet, the cottage is perfect!"

The Gardener's Cottage sits on a gorgeous 1000-acre estate. It seems that the owners may still be in the renovation stage. The kitchen, bedrooms, and one large bathroom looked brand new. The small upstairs bathroom needs an upgrade. That being said, it was spacious and comfortable for our family group of 5 adults and two grandsons (10 and 12). The setting was more isolated than we had imagined. You had to drive to go to town. But the grounds were conducive to long walks, beautiful scenery, vast open spaces for the grandsons to play soccer when we needed them to expend some of their energy. We would absolutely stay there again. Roderick, the owner of the property, was welcoming and gracious, even when our grandson locked himself in the bathroom and we had to call Roderick for help one evening.

We have no complaints except that in other self-catering places that we have stayed there were a few more amenities. We needed to buy extra toilet paper, paper towels. and extra dishwashing soap. There was one bath towel for each of us; a few extras would have been nice.
