Great Apartment with a nice View on the Lake!

The location of the property was excellent, out of Arona main town in a quiet street. The owner was most helpful and sent me details of how to access the property and get the door keys. A couple of questions we had were answered quickly by the owner. The appartment was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with everything you could wish for. We had asked for bedding for 5 people which was provided with beds made up on arrival. Views from the appartment were stunning overlooking Arona with the lake and mountains in the background.

The view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful. Parking was very easy in one of the spaces in front of the building. The flat was very spacious and in a quiet area. The bed was very comfortable. Good kitchen facilities. Very good communication with the hosts. Very clean apartment.

The hot water sometimes took a long time to get hot and could have been a little hotter.

Nice apartment with balcony and nice view, BUT...

We are not smoking and rented an apartment that was positioned as non-smoking, but when we arrived with our daughter there was a strong smell of cigarettes that was following us during all 5 days of stay and ashtray. When we asked about welcome coffee capsules (there was a coffee machine) we received an answer from the staff, that the apartment does not provide breakfast! After a short discussion with the staff, we got 2 capsules for the 3 of us! We also needed to clean the bathroom and corridor by ourselves after each showring since there was water leakage from the shower cabin because of bad isolation that needed to be fixed. We talked to staff and instead of fixing we received instructions for bath mat using in Italy :)) despite that fact the leakage from another side of the cabin and the mat should be clean and dry in order to use it! Toilet paper was supplied one single roll for 3 people for 5 days of stay, and after my question why is it so, the staff explained: "Unfortunately we are not a hotel, if the guest stays more than two nights, he must get the things he finishes..."! Kitchen paper roll those costs (1,65E/4 rolls) was not provided at all! The shower soap bottle was totally empty from the very beginning and we needed to find a canister and fill it up. All mentioned should be supplied to customers for their comfortable stay by default from my POV! And it’s very clear to other owners (we stayed in two others apartments during the same trip) but somehow not to the staff and not to the indifferent owner to whom we turned with no answer from his side and paid more than 600E! There is a road that goes near an apartment building where all day and all-night cars and scooters make noise. The apartment was not equipped with a microwave to warm up some food in the 21st century. There weren't enough plates and saucers: 3 deep and 3 middle, no place to put a piece of butter. Poor Wi-Fi: 29Mb/s download to 3Mb/s upload.

Very clean and stylish renovated apartment with good qualities and all needed equipment. Good beds and shower especially - and also nice to have a balcony with view. Everythingl seems almost like new!

A car is needed to go to shop and city center, if needed. Sound insulation from neighbours could have been better (not a big problem for us; fun to hear him sing:)

The view was fantastic from the balcony. Tastefully equipped with good cutlery crockery and glasses.

The three flights of stairs with the amount of luggage we had proved difficult, but well worth the effort. Hooks or rails for towels in the bathroom would have been useful and a mirror in the main bedroom.

A little hard to cool down the entire unite with one AC unit in such hot summer day.

Plenty of space, comfy beds, great view, easy to park, air conditioned. Great location for visiting the lake. Plenty of towels. Helpfulness of contact / owner

Whilst the property was generally really clean, it was not absolutely immaculate. This was not an issue for us as we often use air bnb properties and recognise that this is not always possible. An example was that there were a few long dark hairs on the bed sheets. This may have been from the cleaner but gave the sense that the bed may not have been changed. There was also only 4 plates, 4 glasses etc. As the apartment sleeps 5 a few more would have been helpful. Don’t get me wrong, these are trivial things and didn’t affect our view of the property in any way, which was perfect for our needs. We are only mentioning these here to help improve things further. A welcome / information card on how to access WiFi and where to find rubbish bins would have been helpful.
