Maji Como Lake Varenna - Lake view apt near Ferry & Train with Parking

Brilliant location close to ferry and train station. Fantastic host. Anna was very responsive and helpful and a joy to engage with. She waited for us in the rain to check us in. The place was very clean. Sofa bed was very comfortable. Plenty of sockets. Amazing views over the lake and set back from the road so not too much road noise.

Could be noisy as can hear people and TV in surrounding flats and the noise of water flushing . It didn't bother us that much. It would have been good to have some basic washing up supplies as it's hard to find anywhere to buy these things in the small town. There are limited and expensive food shopping options if you don't have a car.

The owner met us at the property and brought us into the apartment. She is a wonderful host, answering all of our questions! The apartment is very comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful time!

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Varenna. It was modern, clean and had great AC. The bed was also super comfy. It was situated in the perfect location that was central to all the action while still being quiet. The free parking was also a plus!!

We loved everything about the unit, spacious, great a/c, great little outside rear patio, great view to water, able to open windows for nice breeze, full kitchen - fridge to store drinks and leftovers to reheat. Perfect location short walk down from train stop. easy enough to get back up for train or train restaurant. So easy to cross road to waterfront / restaurants/ stroll along waterfront / ferry. great communication and questions answered by just Anna. She has a private driver, Andrea who is available and reliable as taxis were hard to come by. Perfect for family of 4 (2 adults / 2 kids) have to go through master bedroom to get to bathroom.

The location and the car parking area

Spacious apartment with a fabulous location, easily walkable to the ferry terminal and train station. On the main street through Varenna just back from the water, but with a view. Lots of space, working kitchen and good value per night for pricey Lake Como. Hosts left a nice goody basket with snacks, some bottle water and a surprisingly decent bottle of Prosecco which we really enjoyed!

My only complaint was that the window covering on the bedroom window was sheer, so there was no way to block out the morning sunshine. The window was protected from view by a small walled patio, so privacy wasn't the issue, just the daylight!

Clean, comfortable, and the host was gracious, supportive , and very pleasant. 🔽

Most important feature that was the only thing disappointing was the shower. The shower was small, didn’t have towel hanger next to it and had a very poor hand held shower spray - the most important item after a long day to relax and enjoy the shower. Very important.

Anna is a great host who welcomed us and showed us everything in the apartment. She also had a lovely bottle of bubbles for us, snacks and coffee! Beautiful view from the living room and close walking distance to everything. Comfortable apartment for family of 4 with the girls sharing the sofa bed. Only thing is the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom We loved our stay in Varenna. Highly recommended. Thanks Anna!
