Period Cottage near Suffolk Coast and Forest

We loved the cosy ambience and the peacefulness of the location .

The lack of an over bath shower .

Very warm and inviting, very clean, very comfortable, very loved, exactly as described.

Having no attachment to have a stand up shower.

Lovely note from the owners and much appreciated milk and cookies. Clean, tidy, cosy and warm enough despite baltic weather. Comms great from hosts too.

Lovely, well kept cottage. Good size garden in pretty countryside. Hosts sent very good instructions and were responsive. Decent pub with very good food in Tunstall.

Hosts were great at communicating The cottage was warm The beds were comfortable Towels and tea towels were available along with washing up liquid and cloths Hosts left a bottle of cava for us There was WiFi available

The only thing that could have been better was a proper shower. I don’t think the hosts could do much about that because of ceiling height and layout of the cottage . Because the cottage is remote we couldn’t get a taxi to Buffey Priory where we were attending a wedding , meaning one of us had to drive. I’m not sure if there is anything that could be done about this - perhaps we needed to book a taxi well in advance .

The oven and microwave could have been cleaned, and the cobwebs in the bedroom should have been cleaned

Perfectly clean. Hosts were helpful and generous.

Needs a hook for shower attachment - difficult to use without making a mess. Garden needs attention.

The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding, we had everything we needed in a very comfortable place. The decor and cleanliness was up to the highest standards, with the location perfect for our requirements. It is without doubt that I would thoroughly recommend Period Cottage to anyone wishing to stay in that part of the country. Abi communicated very well with me leading up to our stay and we would most certainly book to stay again in the future. Many thanks Abi for everything!
