Vang Vieng Chill House

Looked like the pics, the pool was nice and it’s a convenient location

Everything booked through the hostel is more expensive by a significant amount (ex. Bus to Vientiane is 200k just down the street and 280k through the hostel… tuktuk to a viewpoint was 600k, just outside I asked a tuktuk driver and he quoted me 350k). The breakfast was mediocre and the hostel staff weren’t that knowledgeable about where to go or what to do if you were driving a bike and going around without a tour.

The bathroom had mold and was very old. Overall, the hostel could use a bit more love and a little renovation. Since the other hostels weren't any better, it served its purpose.

Je crois que par rapport à l’offre hôtelière chaotique de Vang Vieng , cet hostel ne s’en sort pas trop mal. Et j’ai surtout évité vol et punaises de lit, ce que était ma plus grande crainte à Vang Vieng. Le petit dej est vraiment très bien pour le prix de la nuit et vous avez même le choix. Je n’ai pas été dérangée par l’esprit festif de l’auberge décrit dans d’autres commentaires et j’ai très bien dormi.

On sent bien les ressorts du lit même si cela ne m’a pas empêché de bien dormir. Les lits sont les uns à côté des autres, vous pouvez littéralement chatouiller le nez de votre voisin en tendant le bras. Cela peut être un peu bruyant en cas de ronflements. La salle de bain est dans le dortoir, pas pratique et agréable du tout. Je pense qu’il s’agissait à l’origine de chambres d’hôtel reconverties en dortoir, ce qui expliquerait cet agencement.
