Vang Vieng Chill House

Location is great, centrally located with several restaurants around. It's in its own little lane secluded from the main street. Chose this place for its security - the female dorm is only accessible by key cards, which is a positive and there are also lockers provided to store your valuables. You can see the hot air balloons from near the pool area, which is a nice vibe. They provide free breakfast with fresh fruit, tea, egg (your choice how its cooked) and sausage which is surprisingly filling for such a cheap price. There are two dogs on the property - to keep in mind for people with allergies or who don't like dogs.

I was expecting an average, no frills hostel experience and it delivers but the property is really old. They've done their best to keep it as clean as possible, but its dinghy and rundown creating a sense of persistent discomfort and certain areas need renovation and refurshiment. Mold on the walls, leaky airconditioning dripping water on storage ledge and on lockers. The bunk beds feel unstable. The bathroom was uncomfortable to use, it seems like it is falling apart. The door is literally held together with tape. The shower quickly accumulates water on the floor very quickly. The shower head was propelled out of its holder when someone in my dorm turned it on to shower and she could have been injured. On the positive side, the staff responded to the issue immediately when it was reported and fixed it.

Clean, confortable et idéalement placé. Top pour rencontrer du monde. Et la nourriture proposée est très bonne.

Loved the free beer from 8-9pm, the breakfast includes delicious fruits and the pool area has enough restrooms and showers :)! The beds are very soft compared to the hard beds one usually gets at hostels in Laos.

The window in room Q doesn’t shut all the way :/ so i can hear the people hanging out near the pool. The breakfast ends quite early, bad for the people who like to sleep until at least 9.

Très bien situé dans Vang Vieng, très calme avec piscine ! La bière gratuite pendant 1h est un vrai plus ! Les espaces sont très propres, les dortoirs sont nettoyés tous les jours ! Les petits déjeuners sont suffisants !

Peut-être quelques odeurs parfois mais rien d'alarmant.

good beds in small rooms. happy hour with free beer is awesome. very social hostel.

Friendly staff, good price and really nice atmosphere to socialise, the give free breakfast and free beer for 1h in the night

Very much happening hostel. Neatly maintained. Lovely common area and a decent breakfast options.
