Angelo, has been very hospitable to us, the apartment was clean, well lit up and very near to the central station. I left my phone and Angelo is helping me to arrange to courier back to Malaysia, I am very thankful to him!

The location was fantastic for our short stay

Unique apartment built into in an old vault in an old palace - but with 2 balconies (one facing the street, the other an inner courtyard). Well thought through and maintained in all details, eg. sliding doors to save space, full set of all necessary kitchen utensils, spare umbrellas in case it rains etc. And located right next to the ballaro market (at the less touristy end), as well as the train/bus stations. And extremely helpful and responsive host!

Being in an old vault, there is not that much natural light as in a regular modern apartment.

The question with any review is would I stay here again and in this case the answer is YES. Great location on the main street with all the bars and restaurants that people parade along at night although you are at the poorer end of the street! This is made up for by its location very near the bus and train station along with the street markets.

Zaira and Angelo were very welcoming. They work for the owners but welcomed us (very late) in a very friendly way, providing information about nearby places to eat or drink, and providing a few tips about the city. The apartment is small and cosy. Nicely renovated in a beautiful sicilian palazzo.

The place is quite dark during the day but, in all fairness : - We didn't spend much time there other than for sleeping - We were there on a very cloudy day - It must help with controlling the heat during the summer. Also, the check in was a little too early to my partner's taste (10AM) but it's probably because she's a little lazier than me.
