The Shepherd's Delight

We booked the shepherds delight for a quiet break away. The location really did provide this. The welcome pack from the hosts really was a nice touch and enjoyed by us both.

Lovely little property a lot more spacious than you expect. Clean and everything in there that you need. The little welcome hamper was a lovely touch (bread, milk, eggs, tea and coffee etc). Lovely and peaceful, the two local pubs recommended to us by the hosts were both fantastic with great food. They even offered to pick us up if we couldn’t make it back up the hill after a few drinks!! Ideal location for exploring the Peak District. The farmers cows were beautiful as were the dogs, Highly recommend

Only mention would be that it could maybe do with some thicker/black out curtains. Literally the only tiny thing I could mention.

It was quirky and barbara was very nice

We did not stay as the bed was not suitable for someone with mobility problems. This was NOT made clear in the advert. We expected that it would be basic but we could not manage to sleeping arrangements.

Really cute hut just at the bottom of the farm, stunning area with amazing views. Perfect for an overnight stay in between business meeting locations. Beats ya usual premier inn every time. 2 very nice pubs within walking distance (but be warned of the hills) Owners/ farm staff very friendly & left all the necessities (milk, bread, etc)

Everyone I met was super friendly and the site was peaceful despite being a working farm.

We loved the hut, it was bigger than we were expecting and the facilities very good. A full bathroom is fantastic in a property like this and the items in the fridge were a very pleasant surprise.

More detailed directions would be helpful. The postcode does not take you to the property and we had to ring the hosts after driving round for a while. There was nothing about the property itself that we didn't like.

Lovely owner, beautiful views, great location. The fridge was stocked with breakfast food, had I known that I’d have mentioned I’m vegan. It was a nice touch.
