Loved the welcome treats. Friendly couple were helpful and made me feel welcome and showed me around other properties

I struggled to find it. Maybe a what 3 words code would help. Otherwise it was great.

"Lovely dog friendly place with wonderful host and beautiful nature all around."

10.0

Barbara was lovely, she greeted us and showed us around everywhere. The place and the scenery were beautiful. Waking up to the sound of nature was wonderful. The place had what we needed and it was a lovely touch to have a few things in the fridge for morning breakfast.

Only thing we were missing was a chopping knife.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shepherd’s Delight Wagon, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. Tucked away in the heart of the countryside, the location is nothing short of idyllic. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of calm – the peaceful surroundings and open views across the farm were just stunning. It’s the kind of place where you can instantly relax and leave the stresses of everyday life behind. The wagon itself is beautifully presented – spotlessly clean, cosy, and really thoughtfully put together. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and you can tell a lot of love and care has gone into creating such a special space. It’s also incredibly quiet, which meant we slept so well, with only the sounds of nature around us. Waking up in the morning to the gentle sounds of birds singing, chickens clucking, and cows in the distance was such a lovely experience. It felt so natural and grounding – a perfect way to start the day. We spent a lot of time just walking around the farm and exploring the surrounding countryside. There are so many lovely walks nearby, whether you're after a short stroll or a longer ramble through fields and lanes. Every walk was full of fresh air, beautiful scenery, and that wonderful sense of peace you can only find in the countryside. The hosts were absolutely wonderful – so welcoming, kind, and helpful without ever being intrusive. They made us feel completely at home and were full of great suggestions for places to explore and eat locally. Their warmth really made the stay even more special. Another huge bonus for us was that it’s dog-friendly. It meant we could bring our dog along to enjoy the adventure with us, and they were so accommodating and understanding, which really made a difference. All in all, Shepherd’s Delight Wagon is a hidden gem – clean, peaceful, welcoming, and set in the most beautiful surroundings.

The location and peace was amazing . It was well equipped. A cute romantic place to stay

The mattress is very uncomfortable. It definitely needs a more quality mattress. We could feel the bed base

A beautiful place to stay in a rural location, the owners are such welcoming people. The welcome pack we had was good with eggs, butter, milk & and bread, along with some biscuits too. A great place for a short break away!

"Lovely"

The good lady and I loved the personal touches and friendly people, the location was very quiet and had very little light pollution, which gave a great view of the stars in the evening, we found it romantic, quirky, fun and most of all peaceful

We didn't like having to go home 🤣

"Break from the city"

7.0

Quite place and lovely scenery outside. Well looked after the scenery with fairy lights . Fresh milk, bread, eggs, yoghurt, and batter on arrival

Bed uncomfortable, I could feel the springs in the mattress. Hot water only runs for a few minutes. The place is nice but 110 for one night is well too expensive

"You have to stay. It's amazing."

I love the pigs and cows. The hut itself is beautiful and cosy. After helping to muck out pigs and feed cows it was lovely to have a shower and get into the cosy bed. Already planning our next trip down, hoping to cwtch more piglets and even a quick hello to the humans 😄. But please note, do not just approach the animals, I had special permission from the owners as I am myself a farm girl and do not feed the animals without the owners permission.

That I couldn't fit the pigs and cows in the hut 😜
