Ruhig gelegenes Chateau, großzügige Suite und hervorragendes Frühstück mit regionalen und selbstzubereiteten Produkten. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Location was perfect for driving to Alsace's highlights. Stayed in the converted 'orangerie' at the rear of the Chateau. The heating was adjustable and good. Had no need for the air-conditioner because the weather was cold. The king-size bed was comfortable for us. Appreciated the gas BBQ, coffee capsules, tablets for the clothes washing machine, the clothes drying-rack, and the comprehensive French/German/English instructions for using equipment. Hosts were delightful.

Internet was sometimes poor.

Wunderbar. Als Wiederholungstäter waren wir wieder mal in der Remise, einer kleinen, feinen Ferienwohnung. Alles vorhanden, sehr gemütlich und genau richtig für 2 Personen. Radfahren auf sehr gut ausgeschilderten Wegen, die Weingüter besuchen, die malerischen Städtchen, lecker essen. Das Elsass ist ein phantastisches Urlaubsziel.

אם - חשוב לכם כמונו ...יחידה מאובזרת ומושלמת במטבח מקרר מכונת כביסה כיריים תנור מנגל ועוד ועוד 🥰...קחו בחשבון שרק בארוחת הבוקר תספגו את האווירה של האחוזה כי המבנה הוא צמוד ומודרני .בארוחת הבוקר ובחדרים האחרים עפ התמונות תחושו במיוחדות והאוירה הנדירה ממש . .מומלץ בחום בלי קשר .

We stayed at Hotel Château De Grunstein and really enjoyed the experience. The château itself is beautiful, and we chose one of the gîte-style holiday apartments. While the room was a bit smaller than I expected, it was very comfortable, with a large, soft bed. The kitchen was fully equipped — pots, pans, cutlery, electric stove, microwave, oven, small fridge, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso coffee machine. The hosts provided a few laundry pods and Nespresso-compatible coffee capsules to get you started, but it’s worth bringing your own or buying more at a nearby supermarket if you plan to stay longer. The bathroom was spacious, with both a shower and a large bathtub featuring jacuzzi-like jets — perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day. Outside, the private terrace with seating and a grill was a lovely bonus. Another big plus, especially for summer in Europe, is the modern air conditioning in the room. Inside the château, there is also a fridge with soft drinks and local wines available for purchase. Parking is free and available inside the château grounds. Just note that it’s better to enter from the main southern gate, as the northern back entrance is very narrow for larger cars (Google Maps tends to direct there automatically). The location is good — about 30 minutes drive from Colmar — making it a great base for day trips around the Alsace region. The village itself is small and quiet, with little to do in the immediate surroundings. It’s not a luxury stay, but it perfectly captures the rural atmosphere of the area and offers very good value for money. It’s a great choice for couples looking to enjoy the region in a relaxed and authentic way.

As for downsides: the outdoor areas of the château could use a bit more care — some extra flowers and greenery would really bring out its charm. In addition, there was no housekeeping during our stay, which was disappointing. It would have been nice if someone came in to at least make the bed, refresh the towels, and take out the trash, as this would give more of a hotel-like feeling. Also, in the bathroom and toilet you can hear some noise from the neighboring apartment’s bathroom, which slightly reduces the sense of privacy.
