"Beautiful on the outside but inside needs much more care"

6.0

This pension is very tastefully decorated. From the exterior, to the interior and even down to the dinnerware, everything has been tastefully created. There is a illy coffee machine, filtered water dispenser and a projector screen within the property with Netflix and Youtube Premium account signed in for you to enjoy right off the go. The projector was in good condition and we enjoyed some movie nights using it. I love each corner of the house and it looks and feels very accurately to what has been shown.

I stayed in the Daon room and the outside gate was not able to be locked and this being in a rural area, it made me anxious to use the outdoor areas. The pool was empty, but still water had gathered (probably because of Jeju weather) and there were dead spiders and dead centipede in it. The toilet has mold everywhere - ceiling, shower room wall; I took a while to see as they had used patterned wall tiles and floor tiles, and probably wall paper for the ceiling. But after you observe for a while, you can see irregular black spots all over the toilet, especially at the ceiling. The shower head - both the hand shower and the rain shower, had mold at the bottom most part. The house could also use some maintenance; The bathroom door hook had broken; The toilet bidet spray was shooting out water because of a faulty pipe. The clothes rack was broken. The illy coffee machine's water storage compartment was not detachable (or at least I did not figure out how to) and there was water condensed inside. The whole apartment floor felt sticky; The outdoor bench was covered with rust. The straw that broke the camel was the host's response. It was so poor both before and after - When I asked the host whether I could update the occupancy, the host (being managed by a 3rd party) asked me to call the host in Korea, even though we had been conversing in different languages all this time (who never responded at all); When I reached the place, I could not get the hot water to operate as they did not have any instructions to turn on the boiler. I sent the message at 8pm, and they responded at 12pm the next day, saying they only operate their messaging help from 9am to 6pm. It is very concerning to think that for a location as rural as this, help is only available from 9am to 6pm. I do not recommend this place for families or travellers with older people or younger children.
