GBShort ceilings, but was perfect for us. If you’re above 6 foot+ maybe look elsewhere unless you wanna hit your head. Very clean, bigger than the pictures suggested. Overall 8/10 stay. I really did like this place.

GBIt was cosy, and felt like a warm hug. Its location was absolutely perfect and very quiet at night too.
This is just a personal thing, but the bed in the master bedroom was far too firm for us. It did have a topper on it, but the mattress itself was very firm. We kept waking up, not able to get comfortable, and suffered with a sore back each morning and slept on pillows and a spare duvet to try and make it comfortable (feeling like the princess and the pea!). I don’t think the other beds were as firm but they were occupied. It’s hard to get beds right as people have different preferences. My mother and father like a firm mattress, but we don’t. That would be my only ‘negative’ comment to make, but it is a personal and subjective one.

The ceilings and doorways were very low. Anyone over 5’10 would have to duck down here and there. Two of our party are 6’ and over which resulted in much anguish and banged heads. My 74 year old dad hit his head on a glass ceiling light that shattered everywhere.
GBWe really enjoyed our stay! It was lovely to receive a warm welcome and the Christmas card and chocolates were a lovely touch. It was great as well to have access to the local Spa hotel, we really enjoyed the facilities. The cottage itself was very cosy and we enjoyed the local scenery a lot.
We had some problems with the key box getting in at times but our hosts were very helpful in dealing with this.
