Beautiful old hotel. Maintained beautifully. Right in the thick of everything.

Location is great, the showers are excellent, the beds are comfy, and the valet staff are super friendly.

One of my biggest bugbears is hotels charging for water in the room. My only caveat being if they offer free filtered water filling stations. The Press does have filling stations, but not on every floor. I had to get an elevator down 6 floors, then try to figure out how to get into the gym (at 10:00pm) The plug sockets either side of the bed didn’t work either. Despite all the good things about the property, those are the two things I’ll remember. Therefore, would not stay there again.

I loved the lobby, the rooms, the carpet on the floors of the rooms and the little signs with rhetorical sayings, that were here and there and in hidden places like the closets. The restaurant was also nice! And the old typewriters everywhere!

Everything was very well designed!
