Capstone's Lookout near tunnels beach

Warm, cosy, well located. Property benefits from both washing machine and dishwasher. Comfy beds, nice bathroom and shower. Can hear the sea from lounge.

The location was great and easy to find. Having milk with tea and coffee in the apartment was a bonus as this was a 5 hr drive away from home. The rooms were good with everything we needed. The hosts were easy to contact if needed, but the welcome folder had everything we could need. All the information for bits in the apartment, as well as local amenities, trips and restaurants. Would 100% stay here again if we go that way.

The bathroom didn't have a lock, the door closed properly, but a simple breeze would open it, but we just told people who was in the room that we were in there, so it didnt cause any problems.

Amazing location 2mins to the beach,apartment was clean and tidy has everything needed. Seaview from window.

No parking space

The outside and shared stairway

The property was well located and appointed. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and extras like games, hairdryer and lots of pillows. The bed linen was lovely. The deco quirky and fun. I am in my 60's with arthritis but did not find the 2 flights of stairs much of a challenge. No lift but bonus of being on the top floor meant it was very quiet. We did not meet the hosts but they communicated promptly by text and were very accommodating and helpful. When we were there the Premier grocers at the bottom of the hill was badly stocked but if you turn right up the hill and through a kind of tunnel you are at the High street with many more options.

As you enter the lovely bathroom there is a large shallow step. Peoples brains, especially older ones cant compute it is a step so it poses a trip, toe stubbing hazard which could easily be fixed with some paint or hazzard tape.

Great location for Ilfracombe and for North Devon. Very comfortable stay in a spacious and clean apartment. Great facilities and dog friendly.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. Parking was a bit of pot-luck, but not overly expensive in the nearby car park if you couldn't find a free on-street spot.

most properties in the immediate area by the seafront look a little run-down. This property looks typical on the outside, but the flat itself is well refurnished and you can tell that the owners have really made an exceptional effort in providing everything that they could think of for the guests and making it feel homely.

I was a little worried about the strength of the locks on both of the front doors, and the neighbours tend to leave the main entrance to the building wide open.
