We had the pleasure of staying for one night at this charming cottage nestled deep in the Jebel Akhdar mountains of Oman, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The location offers an incredible view of the valley below, with stunning farmlands stretching out and the traditional Omani way of life on display. The area is particularly known for its rose farming, where the local community produces rose water, and we had the unique opportunity to take a guided tour and learn about the fascinating process behind it. The village itself is rich in history, with many historical sites to explore, adding an educational element to the natural beauty surrounding the area. Large apartment for a family, modern and well equipped, nice view on the marina, reactivity and friendliness of the owner.

Nothing really. We spent only one night and would have loved to enjoy the apartment and surroundings longer. Just be aware that the drive might be a bit long from the highway but a beautiful one across the mountains.

Driving to the compound at night was challenging. All the way to the mountains and back down.
