Cute little home with everything that you need

The owner is a lovely lady who clearly takes pride in the accommodation she offers, which is a lovely compact, self contained unit over the garage, which has ample heating, 2 good Velux roof lights and a smart En-Suite. There's a lovely kitchen within the lounge area, with a toaster, kettle, oven and fridge, and with Waitrose over the road I was spoilt as to what to have for tea.

Communication ahead of our visit was excellent. The property was well appointed and in an excellent location. Whilst we were attending a family event and visiting friends it would be an excellent base to explore further afield.

What a fantastic find … great retreat in a country setting Alcestsr is a fabulous market town with lots going on . Especially live music in local pubs .. great restaurants close by and Waitrose just across the road .. was very peaceful and the decor was first class the host had certainly given a lot of thought to all the detail .. it was immaculately clean and I had the best nights sleep. Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswolds are literally a stone throw away .. for touring Warwickshire this was the perfect central location . The host was extremely helpful and kind at all times .. I will definitely be back .. it’s perfect for anyone looking for a weekend retreat away

This “Charming home near Stratford-upon-Avon” is nothing like its listing. It is 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon which is rather like saying that the property is near to Buckingham Palace when it is in fact in Tottenham! Also, it is not a charming home - it is a converted garage. The downstairs part of the property is the size of one normal car garage, in other words tiny. Upstairs, it has a larger floor area as it covers the roof space of two garages, but as the roof slopes at a very steep angle I would recommend that nobody over 5 feet tall considers staying here unless you want to have lumbago when you leave. The doorway to the bathroom is 1 metre high on the right and 1.5 metres on the left as it has to conform to the steep eaves of the building. The “fire escape” is a window in the sloping ceiling, the bottom of which is at shoulder height. This leads out onto the steeply sloping roof, and it might as well be a vertical fall to the ground. The owners have kindly provided an escape rope ladder in the bottom drawer of a chest although I could see nothing to attach this to. Frankly I consider it to be a deathtrap in the event of a fire. Finally, I would advise the owners to consider spending a night at other properties in the area to obtain some idea of what value for money represents in this area. Suffice to say, I will never consider staying here again.

extremely rude lady , asked us to cancel our booking 8 pm once we 30 minutes away , because like she said she is not offering 1 night stay and booking making error on website, still not excuse for extremely rude language and shouting on the phone , threatening with police if we arrive to her property , shocking, never been in situation like that before , please avoid
