"Great View!"

4.0

Great Location! It ends there, grill-filthy, Floors-dirty, 3 of 4 chairs rickity- not Functional, no TV in living area, refrigerator doors almost unaccessible, rusty and exposed pipes with lots of rust in water, bathroom door locks and can't open from inside, noisiest ac units ever and floor standing, front door doesn't close easily, refrigerator smells like fish, futon wood is separating. We left this property cleaner than we found it. Most of these items are easily fixed but the owners probably could care less.

"Incredible value for an incredible location"

9.0

Location Location Location! Beautiful quiet area of coquina beach just slightly out of Flagler center of town. Impeccably clean and comfortable with a few small upgrades from last time we stayed which made it even more pleasant. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, this isn't it, but if you want an incredible value with everything you need in an absolutely incredible location, this is the place! It's our favorite place to stay in Flager and we look forward to it each time.

Same as last time, showers need some updating, but they do the job.

"Mixed bag, lovely location."

5.0

The location is fantastic. Right on the beach, quiet, lovely. The property is spotless, and there has been much attention to detail. The beds are comfortable, and the beach is basically empty, or it was at the time of year we were there.

The kitchen/living area had a strong odor of mildew/mold, along with the chemicals that had been used to treat the smell. We weren't able to use that part of the property as my mother has asthma/allergies, and she was having a reaction. There is some odor in the bedroom as well. There are notes to not open windows, but I needed to get some air in the bedroom for my mom - when I tried to open a window a crack, the entire upper window slid down and I could not close it again from either inside or outside. No screen...I did my best to clip the curtains shut and notified the property manager via email. I felt badly about this, but we were desperate for fresh air. We had tried to run the portable air conditioners to counter the stuffiness, but they were loud and kept us awake. The TV didn't work. Also, the property description said that bath towels would be provided but guests must bring their own beach towels - the reverse was true. There were beach towels but no bath towels or washcloths. If you can tolerate some odors, it's great. Because we were unable to use part of the property, I felt that the price was way too high.

"Great Older Beach Retreat, Impeccable Location (But Needs a Bit More Updating)"

8.0

10+ for location, could not do any better, it was superb, right on the beach! Inside decor was cute and inviting, beds were comfortable, and place was impeccably clean. Again 10+ on all!

There were a few things with lodging that made it a bit uncomfortable. Air conditioning unit in bedroom side seems older (vents rusted and some broken), didn't work as well as the one in the living quarters. With no venting/fan and not being able to open window, bathrooms were extremely stuffy and hot, especially after a shower. Also, the showers need updating, especially the one in the living quarters side, it's pretty bad. (This is the main reason, and probably the only one honestly, we would be a little hesitant to book this place again when we come back.) Also, there is no lighting at all on street side of house at entryway, which is challenging to navigate in the dark.
