⸻ Außergewöhnliches Erlebnis auf höchstem Niveau Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende absolut erstklassig. Nach einer anstrengenden Anreise wurden wir mit einer zauberhaften und herzlichen Begrüßung empfangen, die uns sofort ankommen ließ. Das Fine-Dining-Abendessen ließ keinerlei Wünsche offen – besonders beeindruckend war, wie individuell auf unsere Bedürfnisse eingegangen wurde. Meine Tochter isst vegan, und auch hier wurde mit großer Sorgfalt, Kreativität und Liebe zum Detail gekocht. Das Frühstück auf der traumhaften Terrasse mit herrlichem Ausblick war ein absolutes Highlight. Ebenso perfekt organisiert war der Game Drive – unser Fahrer Simba war großartig, herzlich und hat das Erlebnis unvergesslich gemacht. Alles in allem ein absolutes Spitzenhotel, das uns nachhaltig beeindruckt hat und das wir nie vergessen werden.

Beautiful property situated atop a hill with the most incredible view, lovely boma and wonderful colonial style restaurant/bar/living room.

We had a wonderful stay at Camp Figtree. We traveled to South Africa for our honeymoon - the hotel was beautiful and very romantic so it was perfect for our trip. I believe we stayed in one of the larger suites that had a gorgeous view of the mountains. It was tough to leave the morning we had to check out! The staff was also incredible. They were super helpful and always accommodating. Simba took us on a wonderful half day game drive in Addo, and the highlight of our stay was the Giraffe Walk at Bellevue.

Unfortunately the kitchen did not seem as prepared to accommodate the vegan dietary request that we had notified the hotel about months in advance. Our vegan guest was routinely given non-vegan items without notification and had to ask to clarify about the ingredients, the special menu - while a very considerate and nice touch - had items on it that the staff believed to be vegan that were not, for both dinners we had at Figtree there was no desert option for the vegan guest, the hotel did not have any / ran out of non-dairy milk alternatives so coffee was often taken black. None of these were deal breakers, but we figured for the price tag of the hotel and how far in advance we notified about this, this could have been handled better. As stated above, staff was beyond excellent, so this is not a reflection of their willingness to help.

Fantastic experience all the way! The location is really superb, with splendid views of the mountains. The staff is most amazing, making you feel comfortable and at home. The bed was luxurious, the bathroom stylish and huge... and the food is superb, accompanied by a good selection of wines! Fantastic game drive to add to this wonderful experience!
